She's won six Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year in 2019), six Country Music Association Awards, and three Academy of Country Music Awards. This is an impressive feat considering she's had the cards stacked against her. In a study published by Jada E. Watson in 2019, it was revealed that the ratio of total airplay favored male artists 5.5 to 1. Meaning, she isn't able to get the same radio time when compared to her male counterparts strictly based upon her gender, despite being so critically acclaimed.
