So the grizzly bear you saw is known at 399. She is an old female that has lived in the park to close to 2 decades. She, single handed has birth close to 65% of grizzly bears in yellow stone and teton region. I lived 2 miles from where you saw her for 5 years before covid. My heart belongs there

I found ITCHY BOOTS when she had the accident that hurt her foot in Season 6. I decided to go back to the beginning of Season 6. I watch this until she reached the Mexico USA border and decided it was mistake not to go back to the beginning. Three weeks ago I watched season 1 and then season 2. I skipped three, four and five so I could finish with her on the USA tour. I have done some serious binge watching and it all has been quite enjoyable. I have thousands of miles of dirt roads, trails, coastline, all to be explored. I'm not sure what you thought we had going on here, we might not have a bunch of ancient architecture layin around all ove the place, but the American Continents got something else. That said, best features of this video in order from least (but still plenty) impressive to utterly amazing:
#9 - That covered wagon Noraly spent the night in. It doesn't get more Western American & Wyoming than that.
#8 - Multiple geology lessons some of us had forgotten or never knew, including an explanation of the massive magma chamber under Yellowstone. Thank you, Professor Schoenmaker!
#7 - Cow elk. Elk are majestic creatures.
#6 - The story of the family who were lucky enough to share their breakfast hour with Noraly! How envious am I? Totally!
#5 - Seeing Old Faithful erupt!
#4 - The beauty of the Tetons and Yellowstone, captures in exquisite detail by Noraly.
#3 - Bison in their natural habitat and home. Until you've seen them in person, it's difficult to appreciate just how large, powerful and imposing they are.
#2 - Mama bear and three cubs. Nothing short of incredible.
#1 The smile on Noarly's face @ 16:19 and her girlish giggles talking about all the interesting geology of Yellowstone. Priceless!

Instead of having a few hundred students in an undergraduate lecture hall in GEO 201, you now have countless thousands of students (and admirers) from all over the planet. What an amazing way to put the mysteries and the underlying science of planet earth on display. I think of Carl Sagan, of many years, ago, who had a stellar way of presenting astronomy/planetary science. You have taken geology, and so many of your fascinating ancillary day-to-day travel experiences from all over the world, forward by leaps and bounds way beyond what Dr. Sagan has done. By the way, if you need someone to help you grade exam papers down the road, let me know. 🙂
