I use the Kilohearts free essentials plugins in my mixer all the time for mixing work, not just in PhasePlant or Multipass. I love that I can use those plugins as standalone plugins outside of their bigger modular products. Also, their pseudo-rent-to-own subscription model is a really great model that doesn't feel exploitative. Happy to support Kilohearts! Keep up the good work, yall!

I spent nearly ~3 years making future bass, and would always automate the pitch to get it to bend. This plugin literally got the sound I was looking for, for years, and it only takes 15 seconds from start to finish to get a GREAT tape stop effect.

Yes, gets really fun and powerful inside the hosts for sure. It's a great alternative to pitch envelopes in Phase Plant. There's a preset in there called like "Tape Stop piano" or something. Very good fun. /George
This is the only plugin that could replace vari-fi in terms of sound. Ever since this came out I no longer have to open pro tools just to make a genuine tape stop. Highly recommended if you work in a daw other than PT but used to the quality of vari-fi.

I need the Stop Time to be longer than 2 seconds for a more gradual slowdown. I see we can right click it to type the number of seconds but it seems to revert back to 2 if you put anything over. Any way to achieve this?
Not with the Tape Stop plugin as is, unfortunately. You can get really long slow-down effects by modulating the time parameter in a full-wet Delay in Snap Heap though, or automating it in the DAW. Hope that kind of helps 😉 /George

Please make tutorials how to achieve fat rich analog sound with phase plant. Also I compared fm8 and phase plant and in fm8 sound is fatter even with FM8 wavetables loaded into phaseplant. Phaseplant sound is more digital, more high frequencies by default I really like phase plant for its simplicity (relatively=)) and flexibility, but it can be better. Also please add filters like in U-he diva))) And better reverb
Hey there! You should be able to automate the Play parameter. The tape will "start" when given a value over 50% and "stop" when given a value below 50%. Hope that helps!
