“Welcome in the kitchen!” As you know my hubby can’t have red meat so we’re always looking for new ways of preparing chicken breast fillets, thigh fillets, wings, drumsticks and stock. We always have a variety of nuts 🥜 at home so I have all the ingredients here. I’ll definately make this for tomorrow’s dinner! 🥘 I’m sure everyone here will be pleasantly surprised. Thanx again Lynne. Tonight we’re having Baked Southern coated chicken breast fillets and a creamy baked vegetable~medley. I just love cooking 🧑🍳 because my kids love it and they suggest so many challenges for me…so far, so good!! ☝️😁👌
It was a lovely time watching you this cold evening . I will have to make that dish. Your husband said something about cooking on a wood stove well I was raised on one my mama cooked our thanksgiving turkey in it and everything that’s some fine eating.
We have a wood fire stove/oven. It took a bit of time to gage the temperature and when it was too hot or cool to cook certain foods. We mainly use it for roasts. I still use the conventional oven for cakes though…it’s an oxygen thing. We do use the stove top for pot meals and skillet 🍳 dishes. We’re lucky because it has a special jacket set up and it heats our water… power free. We use the pot~ash on our garden and vegetable patch. 🎄🇦🇺🤗🪴
Our gas bill has went from $33 4 Yrs ago up to over a hundred and then now it’s down to $77 this year. It’s crazy the fluctuation. We keep our heat on 64 degrees. However my electric is much higher.
@ I've tried the 68 in the summer but my husband freezes. He's on blood thinners so he gets cold easily. Otherwise I would do 68 yr round. It's best to sleep in a cool room.
We made a hoodie for our big pit. We measured him and cit down the ribbing on the bottom and the sleeves and sewed it back on. It was too small for my sons and it said Jeep on it. It looked so cute with the hoodie on his head.
I love the interaction with your husband. He’s a funny guy!! He should visit more often. I love the cooking and the sewing!! Lynn you’re the Best!!!!!
I’ll tell him to come by more often. !!!
Yes I did want a bite! Yum!

I would have no idea how to cook on one. Hehehe. I wish I had the knowledge to do that if for nothing else but just to know I could do it
@ girl you can do it. It’s very easy if you want it hotter add more wood.

Are the cashews unsalted?
Mine were salted. But unsalted would have prob been better.
Tell your husband our heating bill runs about 170.00 now that the weather is in the 30's and 40's at night. Summertime is more with the a/c.
Oh wow. How large is your house and where do you live
@@lgougeinthekitchen Our home is only 1600 sq ft and I'm in North Florida.
We keep the thermostat on 69 in the winter and 71 in the summer with the a/c.
@ I keep mine on 67 or 68 year round.

Do you sew doggie coats? I haven’t done that yet
No. I have never made any doggie apparel. Just don’t put that many things on our doggies and they are so cheap at tjmaxx and home goods. 😊
