    A difference in weight with same performance can fluctuate it. Increased running economy will lower VO2 max however, especially training for longer events this is expected and welcome. You use less gas at a certain speed basically.

    • @caseymanos7077
      @caseymanos7077 Год назад +2

      Your lactate threshold is probably a lot better now, and closer to your VO2 max which indicates better long distance performance

      fatigue resistance over races will improve with more volume over time, lots of Z1/z2 as you know. Try adding 50-100 single leg step-ups each leg after long hard runs, this has anecdotally been very beneficial for lots of professional ultra runners with fatigue resistance.

    Marcus! How do you like the Sauconys? Need a good new training shoe and curious about your opinion. Also would love to go for a early morning run in nyc end of this month. Visiting nyc for my first time. Greetings from Amsterdam.

      I really like the speed lineup. Have been using the speed 2 and 3 for a while now as a faster tempo shoe. If I were you I would go try them on and see how they feel before buying though because everyone has a different foot etc! We host a run club in central park every Saturday morning at 8am if you want to come run :) details are on our Minted New York Run Club Strava page

    Videographer might have too shallow of a focal point. Go up if possible so it's less out of focused but it would mean you'd need more light.

    • @carlnardyt
      @carlnardyt Год назад +1

      hi! said videographer here. some notes on style. i really love a tight focus and blurring out the background. a very real approach i try to take is to have the footage feel less and less commercial. so for instance at the 4:15 mark, the thing i want you to notice is the intense sweat. if the focus is opened so wide, you lose that feeling. the approach is to take you and make it feel like you're in the room instead of watching a replay. we as humans tend to focus tight and have to adjust our vision to see a wider focus/view so i try to mimic that feeling. appreciate you watching and giving feedback nonetheless!

    • @MrKevo123
      @MrKevo123 Год назад +1

      @@carlnardyt not talking about 4:15. That shot makes sense but you also have shots where the camera is struggling to stay focused or find focusesd. Like around 4:33

      @@MrKevo123 oh, yeah, that one part where i kept the clip rolling and lost focus for 3 seconds. i saw that. i was hoping it wouldn't impact the overall feel of the video and change what the video is about and take away from the test but yeah, huge mess up on my part. i'll film differently next time.

    Just curious as to what the reasoning is for not putting more effort into your youtube? You're a pretty interesting guy, living in one of the most cinematic cities in the world. Guy's like Nick Bare put out average, scattered running content and have 1M subs and office's in multiple states directly because of it. Seems like a critical error on your part. Been following you for a couple of years and have always wondered this. Wish you well.

    • @marcusmilione1

      Nick Bare has an entire team dedicated to video. It’s was always just me until recently. It would be easy to do if my job was just to make videos - but it isn’t. I have a business to run
