- At the end of 2020 we lost a true Metal Titan and undisputed Guitar Hero who took the stages of this world by storm with crushing attitude and musical finesse. Our own Jonas assembled a bunch of friends to pay tribute to the Music of Alexi Laiho and Children Of Bodom. Here’s to the Wildchild - gone but never forgotten!

Bobom and Alexi's playing have been an important inspiration for me since I first heard them in 1999 so it's great getting to pay a little tribute! 🤘

This was a rollercoaster of emotions! At first I thought Eluveitie had the largest swap of members with the most mega-artists of their genres, and then it clicked it was a collaboration effort. Alexi would have been honored by such a performance. Thank you to everyone involved with making this happen!

I agree! He had such a hard run at life. He got kicked out of his own band right before he died. Poor guy. He did so many great things musically.
@@funnyberries4017 blah, it didn't happen like that. The guys clarified it in an interview a few weeks ago. It was 100% Alexi's decision. His hard life was him not taking care of himself above all else.

Im always stoked when I see new videos of people still showing love to Alexi and COB. I first heard Bodom when I was 13-14 years old back in 2000. Today I am 35 and Alexi has been my favorite musician since I first heard him play. It's so great seeing really high quality Bodom covers but this one is definitely a different animal than most others. All of you are highly accomplished and respected musicians. To see musicians at this level get together to salute and honor Alexi is amazing. His music and guitar playing not only earned him the love and respect of his fans all around the world. He also earned the respect of his fellow musicians/peers. I'm still bummed he's no longer with us, but holy shit, that guy left the world one kick ass body of work to enjoy for the rest of time. Seeing a cover like this just helps solidify Alexi's legendary status for his contributions to music and guitar playing
I still jam bodom every day, it's the one band where it never gets old to play for me

And Teemu is now in Megadeth. This song was at a break neck pace from start to finish and the Hurdy Gurdy was really cool. Great job with this tribute! RIP Alexi.

Such a breathtaking tribute! It feels a lot harder for me to listen to COB's music knowing that Alexi Laiho is gone from this earth. That's how much his death has affected me as a long time fan. I still listen to Bodom, absolutely! My heart just hurts a little bit more when I do. RIP Alexi Laiho. You will always be remembered as the Wild Child.
Man that was awesome,every detail is awesome and the mixing is really similar to the original, but ofcourse with more modern clarity ,amazing tribute, also seeing Teemu execute these solos is amazing to see cause Alexi and Teemu are really one of my favourite players of all time,the snare sound and just everything about this cover is so onpoint, i feel Alexi would be proud of this thing, LONG LIVE THE WILDCHILD!
