The irony of this. Xenoblade origins track back to Xenosaga wich tracks to Xenogears which was supposed to be a sequel to Chrono Trigger and before that it was a scrapped version of Final fantasy 7 as the original script was deemed to complicated.

Honestly how the party members in FF7R interact with one another in battle reminds me a lot of Xenoblade.
I think some of the people who worked in the original FF7 also worked on Xenoblade
