Best way to learn sanskrit is undoubtedly through audio. Once you listen to the shloks they have a rhythm to them. Creates harmony through symphony and you learn how to pronounce the big words in sanskrit easily. Our people still have not woken up to the potential of learning sanskrit and learn it through audio.

@@pinksalt-bj2bbwell im at a very nascent stage myself not learned basics just listening to the shlokas and songs to make myself familiar with the sounds and pronunciation of words. And the rhythm of them. Don't pronounce yourself shlokas are meant to be chanted only if uknow correct pronunciation. Just listen once u get familiar with sounds and some words. Then start basics. Me myself will read panini ashtaadhyaayi to get the basic of sanskrit understanding how and why it was formed and once i understand its formation and rules i will get to sanskrit words rules of grammar and start reading literature. Its self learning u can also start from panini ashtaadhyaayi. I would recommend watch sanskrit channel. He is a good teacher and can guide u more.

@@pinksalt-bj2bbone way also could be through prakrit. Prakrit is the link between our modern languages and sanskrit. The reason why we find it difficult to learn is because of our unfamiliarity with prakrit. And prakrits were actually spoken by common people so wed relate to it more. Im thinking of first exploring prakrit then sanskrit uk. Like going in reverse order.
