You can actually achieve a slightly better ending. Feed the rat wine once you free your mom and use the friend melody on the rat. You can then head to the piano room. Where the cat will eat the rat and subdue the piano. This will keep the cat and so long as you kill the entity the cat will join you in the void and will be alive in the after credits scene as well. Thus, not only can Melody be saved, but the cat as well.
I think that the house was a normal house until the grandfather died. He didn’t want to let go so his ghost cursed the house. That’s why the father took them to live in there, he didn’t know it was cursed because it became cursed after he left it.
Except, gramps wears a sock when he see him... and pants... Also he's green instead of blue... And ain't transparent... So this theory is not very likely
I thought the original House ending was really bitter, like, how awful to be the only one left? Even with the snail, it was still sad. This ending however, though still sad, it's at least a bitter-sweet ending because both sisters made it out and their loved ones are watching over them. I liked this one much more. I'm glad they added this DLC, even if the neighbor scared the hell outta me during the switch xD
@🥀𝕌𝕂𝕀𝕆🥀 so in the game when tabby escapes she loses her arm. But at the end of the dlc version when Melody breaks the cycle there’s a scene where she and tabby are together and when you look at tabby her arm is back in place.
I love how she drags her sister off screen as well. Not by her arm, but by her ankles, it just gives me huge sibling vibes like " Cmon, you fuckin disaster, time to leave this hellscape. "
I think it's more likely that the house became possessed after James left. The way that the grandmother was talking about when the grandfather "left," it sounded more likely that he died, and because he wasn't happy in the home, he took control of the house as revenge for forcing him to die in the home that he hated.
I just wonder where the neighbor fits into this....did she adopt the girls? It seems like they live with her now, but is the neighbor even human? She knew alot about the situation and what they needed to do to "save" the family.
I feel like that like the snail and tabby the neighbor is sorta nosy and always trying to help out the person In the house so she is sorta like a helper maybe but she doesent live in the the house so like tabby and the snail she isn’t a part of the time loop and for the snail I think he’s too small so the house can’t time loop him
There actually a bonus ending you missed that similar to the snail endings. All you had to do is ensure the cat joins you as well in the final conflict. To do this, you need to learn the "friend" melody, which is obtained when you give the rat your mom's wine after making her snap out of it. You then need to use the melody to charm the rats feeding the big rat sandwitches, use the melody to charm one of the smaller rats into following you, and bring it to the piano room to feed the cat (cat may only appear after everything goes dark). This not only enlists the cat, but it will subdue the piano by sitting on top of it. The Cat will follow you down to the underground, and beating it with the cat saved as well gets you an achievement and adds the cat to the TV roon Bonus Easter Egg: you have a chance of ending up in a different living room of a run-down house than the one the girls are at after completing the ending. I think the Old man in that one is the lost lost grandfather, who's watching the events of house through the TV
“There are five family members, including the cat.” “Melody says goodbye to all her family members.” *doesn’t mention the cat* Now I’m curious to know if the ending changes depending on whether or not you rescued the cat from the piano room 🤔
I love watching those, though I doubt that the story will continue, at least around this family, everyone beside Tabby and Melody is dead, it seems that long-necked neighbor took the girls under her roof as well. Also the fact that it's "remember" instead of "wake up" and "dream" just confirms that the house has no influence over them, it's just an old memory, for real this time. James also most probably got possessed by the house once he returned back to it with his family, I doubt that he was under control of it, or more like under the control of his father, before the events of the House. Grandfather aka puppet master has a puppet of adult James, we can't find any other puppets beside of the family members residing during the events of the House. I also think that before we (players) take control over Tabby's body, puppeteer most likely murdered Toby through Father, also most likely commiting numerous other atrocities till he got bored and decided that Tabby, being free would entertain him more, he said "We had so much fun.", which may confirm that he decided to stop controlling her on purpose for more "fun".
I will always say that house is an amazing dramatization of the generational cycle of abuse. The father was abused by his own father, and became a toxic parent by neglecting tabby and becoming possesive of melody. The dlc shows how even if you can't save everyone from the cycle, your example will inspire them to leave on their own accord. The neighbor represents the support on the outside that made tabby realize she had to leave, but could not take her sister with since melody could be considered the "golden child" (her music appeases the dad, the grandmother liked her more than melody, the dad killing billy) and would be reluctant to leave. Tabby had to "relinquish control"(let melody come to the conclusion that she had to leave on her own) to melody in favor of finding a safe place for melody to run to once free. Tabby entered a deep depression after escaping due to the guilt of leaving her sister. Such despair could have led tabby to dangerous coping mechanisms that would have caused her to become an abusive lover and parent, restoring the cycle.(as shown by the shadow figures under the house, a space that could represent the limbo of having no place to go after fleeing a toxic household, some heal and others revert to the toxicity they grew up in) but the neighbor was proven to be right when melody met tabby in the limbo and dragged her out of the hold of the house for good.
I think the "hide and seek" ghost is Melody's old doll. it was in Tabby's room to begin with and it was shown to be possessed at the end of the originally game too. Also, did you noticed that, in the piano room, the cat would peak out from behind the picture?
No, if you get the true ending and keep playing as tabby, a new enemy might appear dubbed "scissor girl." The reason it's mostly likely this enemy is because 1. She makes reference to tripping, which is how the original enemy dies. 2. She gives you scissors. 3. She looks very similar to the enemy. 4. If you talk to her after the soul collector is vanquished she'll apologize to melody for chasing tabby.
@@Minimod08 Ah, okay. I haven't played the game myself, just watched it. So I didn't know that part. But still, in the piano room, you can see the cat peak out from behind the painting. I wonder what would have happened if it was approached

Moving back to his childhood home could have trigger so many bad memories for the dad causing him to lash out more violently.
Honestly, in both versions of the game, Melody always seemed to be a sort of light in the darkness. The house had crushed her spirit so bad, and yet she was really the one to save both her and Tabby from the darkest thing they could've encountered. Not only that, but with her musical talents helped those both in the main game and the DLC, I just find that so endearing that even when she finds this whole thing utterly meaningless, and that she feels like there's nothing she can do, she still can do it and make it out with Tabby.
The other thing I noticed that was interesting is if you linger after the credits in that living room. If you hang around a bit, the old lady with the long neck peeks out and asks about dinner. So they appear to be living with her now.
@@dreamingpichu2334 yep! We beat it last night and after selecting Tabby on the tv and going back in, it immediately shows him banging on the screen. He gets sucked into a void and the channels go back to what they were.
The opening words to the game have been very deliberate so far. If "Wake up" is when the girls are physically present in the house, and "Dream" is when an individual isn't presently IN the house but still bound to it spiritually (as you theorized for Tabby), then I feel that if the girls were STILL bound to the house at the end there, then it would also be "Dream". Since it has been changed to "Remember", I believe this implies that these girls are just doing that. Remembering the horrors and nightmares that they lived through, and then also sharing them with the one other person alive in the world who could understand (which explains the tv, it's a visual way of showing the memories that these girls are remembering and sharing with each other).
You forgot about one thing though Mike, there is a secret ending where you can actually save the cat but their is a lot of work in order to do so, hopefully you will come back and do this but until then see ya next time Mike! ;)
Yeah you can save the cat but it doesn’t alter the ending in any meaningful way, so I left it out for the sake of keeping the video to the point. It’s more of an Easter egg ending as far as I can tell.
The soul collector’s name seems to be Jizo, as evidenced by the title of his threatening leitmotif. Jizo is a deity in Japanese Buddhism, responsible for guiding spirits in the underworld and protecting the souls of aborted, miscarried, and deceased children. In a very twisted and dark interpretation of this portrayal, he seems intent on liberating Melody’s soul from the House’s ever-repeating loop and “escorting her to the other side,” bit by bit. Unfortunately, his idea of the other side appears to be a void underneath the house, where the shades of his previous victims dwell, and whereas Jizo was originally a benevolent entity, this interpretation of him is far less friendly.
Well... you don't know if the spirits under the house were actually claimed by Jizo, or were they claimed by the house. My money is on the later. I think that in the end - Jizo COULD have freed Melody and taken her soul away, as she has not been... well, "possesed" by the house, but in the end that would have meant death. I do wonder what happened to the parts of her soul that got stolen, though?
You can actually talk to the toilet lady/monster before Melody jumps into the underground area, who then promises she'll be in touch (as she is seemingly impressed that Melody sacrificed all family members to win). One of the TV channels is of a toilet and the toilet lady indeed waves at the girls if you stay on the channel long enough for her to come out. So the house is definitely not dead yet and seemingly impressed with what Melody did.
Its also interesting how on the TV you see the scene of them at the pond as well as the frog from Tabby's room dancing where the doll usually berates you
I didn't knew Tabby was the older sister. I always assume these type games the main character is always the younger sister, but guess in this one not. Nice change!
im gonna be honest here i think the tv section where you can see the two girls is just a clever little way to choose what playthrough you wanna replay and does not mean a whole lot to the story
I think I finally got the house story timeline, Young James moved out of his parent's house to go live with Lisa, his love and have 2 beautiful kids together. His father didn't like this though and became very lonely in the house with only his wife. He became as Granny said "a little stir crazy" and became very manipulative and controlling. When he "left" A.K.A died, He cursed the house to his will and his spirit possessed The Grandfather Clock (ah, I see what they did there). That's when James suddenly felt an urge to go back to his childhood home so they moved back in. But things start to go a little weird. Grandpa sees this chance to finally have his family back together again and decided that he should finally take control of the life he never had. This goes worse and worse until James kills Toby and Lisa turned to alcoholism as a cope. Melody became depressed as a result and Tabby is ignored by her father. That is why she has a "Daddy's Girl" ending in the main game. This happens until Tabby manages to break the cycle and free herself from The House and The Entity's Grasp. The Grandpa finally vanquished, The House slowly loses its strength. After some time, The Armless Tabby goes back into another nightmare induced by the remaining force of The House refusing to let go. She finds a Melody Doll in her sister's room and went to ask the neighbor about this. The neighbor told her, there's finally a way to take back your family from the house, her sister, at least. So she puts her faith and freedom into the hands of her sister wanting to see her smile and be free once again. Melody finally gains full consciousness of her body and starts studying the house. Enduring the same hardship Tabby had in the base game although reduced since The House lost most of it's power when Tabby killed Grandpa. She then out of desperation and probably fear suddenly remembered the song her Granny used to play to her as a child. In doing so, she summoned the spirit of her Granny to give her guidance through The House's Trials. There she began putting the pieces in place to combat another Overlord of The House. The Man with The Faces, she began by asking for the aid of her fallen family members consisting of Looping Lisa, Legless James, and Zombie Toby. Together they manage to weaken the man enough so that Melody could trip him over with her scissors and making him fall into his death and the void, the core of the house. There she finds the dead body of her Grandpa, an echo of the past, and the unconscious body of her sister. She then drags her sister out of this hellhole to freedom, finally. She even managed to get Tabby's arm back ! They then got adopted by The Neighbor or at least, temporarily stay there until they can rescue more of their family members and achieve that happily ever after they so deserve. But now, at least, they're in it together.
I think that thankfully the tv endings are just a way to get back into the memories they had and relive them, as I do believe they are truly free of the house and its curse.
Maybe James (the father) escaped the house like tabby but his parents trapped there like how tabby's family trapped there when she's get out of the house
She's actually in the original game! On rare occasions, a random ghost would appear for a fraction of a second, put a finger to her lips and whisper "shh" and then vanish without harming Tabby. It turns out the ghost was in fact the grandma. It's pretty cool how that very random easter egg turned out to be more significant
12:08 Acutally I think it's supossed to be them having flashbacks of the horrors they had to endure in the hause. Like the name sugests "Memories" they're just remembering thing while whaching TV
But there are a few things that bother me: 1 Personally, when I finished Melody's DLC, the scene in front of the TV was weird. There was neither Tabbey or Melody, but the old man who removes faces. Weird! I could control him and change the scenes. It didn't shock me, until I saw your video. But when I reconnect to the game: it was Tabbey and Melody.. strange 2 Also, the old neighbor with the big neck says at one moment (in front of the television), that an old gentleman asked for Tabbey at the door, but she told him that he must have been mistaken. Again, it's weird. 3. Also, when changing channels in front of the TV, we can see Melody's boyfriend, Toby, banging against the screen before getting sucked into the TV? 4. Finally, the scene of the Apocalypse, with the meteorite which destroys everything, on TV. It's weird, in the form of a newscast. What if the girls were outside of reality? Anyway, too weird!
It's sad that Toby had to permanently die. I can tell he actually loved her and melody did too. I hope the creators of the game somehow make an ending where they can save everyone! I'd like to see Melody be happy with Toby. As well as Tabby with her family members, including the cat of course..
Nah, that would take away from the bittersweet feeling of the game. Sometimes that's it - your loved ones are lost, you can't turn the clock back, but you can fix what you have, make peace and move on. That's the beauty of this game - perfect endings are for fairytales. This is not a fairytale.
If we get a 3rd piece for this game I think it would revolve around the scissors lady since the main thing going on now is that their souls like uhh Melody's and tabby's (also if you saved the cat the cat's soul too) would be like bound to the house wich is why they can like relive the house memories so if they added another chapter I think it would involve the scissor lady to like scissor the link from tabby and melody's souls (and if u got the ultra super duper amazing ending the cat's soul too)

The only thing that doesn't make sense is at the end cat show's up but in this DLC we never met her.Does that mean the cat escaped with tabby or something else did happened to her?
You can actually lure the cat out of hiding in the DLC and she'll follow Melody into the Underground area. Thne it appears in the ending scene. So the cat is still in the house and you can save her, too
I think that the place with the TV that Tabby and Melody were staying in was the neighbor’s house because while I was watching thinknoodles, there’s a part at the TV thing where the neighbor shows up saying that someone moved into the demonic house and that she’s gonna peep a little.
hey, you know that, in fact, if you turn off the tv at the end, you get the soul keeper watching the girls watching the tv in the tv, like it's a loop hole again!
Its also interesting how on the TV you see the scene of them at the pond as well as the frog from Tabby's room dancing where the doll usually berates you
Amazing explaining video about the fascinating and mysterious story of the House Melody DLC. Good job Mike!
Same!
It's a horror story: there's never a truly happy ending. Melody and Tabby are just lucky to be alive.
Ehh there are some horror stories with happy endings (well as happy as they can get)
Yay!! Story explained!! 💕💕 I love this it makes my day a lot ❤️
Scissor lady is the doll, you will realize it when you keep talking to her in the basement.
I like how melody just drags tabby by her legs to safety.
Thank you for making these videos man, I've been binging your videos for like 2 weeks.
I think I finally got the house story timeline,
Young James moved out of his parent's house to go live with Lisa, his love and have 2 beautiful kids together.
I was waiting for this!! Yaaaasss superhorror bro delivers again!! Also I've never been so early!!
Can we congratulate the developers for that amazing kill scene where she killed the puppeteer
Actually, "The Soul Collector" is weakened enough that he loses his balance and falls through the floor, you don't have to do anything to him
Honestly I prefer to think of the channels thing as more metaphorical, like a metaphor for the trauma the girls went through haunting them
Is it weird that the grandma just showed up now
She's actually in the original game! On rare occasions, a random ghost would appear for a fraction of a second, put a finger to her lips and whisper "shh" and then vanish without harming Tabby. It turns out the ghost was in fact the grandma. It's pretty cool how that very random easter egg turned out to be more significant
@@drawingdragon yeah I saw a RUclipsr about to drop the bowling ball on the cat and the grandmother just appeared before they dropped it and said shhh
12:08 Acutally I think it's supossed to be them having flashbacks of the horrors they had to endure in the hause. Like the name sugests "Memories" they're just remembering thing while whaching TV
Yep, when you select one of those channels, it says "remember" instead of "dream" or "wake up".
Tabby: losing her family
Melody and the cat: excuse me I am still alive bish!
But there are a few things that bother me:
1 Personally, when I finished Melody's DLC, the scene in front of the TV was weird. There was neither Tabbey or Melody, but the old man who removes faces. Weird! I could control him and change the scenes. It didn't shock me, until I saw your video. But when I reconnect to the game: it was Tabbey and Melody.. strange
2 Also, the old neighbor with the big neck says at one moment (in front of the television), that an old gentleman asked for Tabbey at the door, but she told him that he must have been mistaken.
Melody really went “Bye bye kneecaps” on the soul collector.
I like how I'm this game, there is no real happy ending. It always has a part of the house somewhere haunting them. Like a trauma.
I really wanted the story explained! Thank you!!!!!
You made my day for sure😆
I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for the hard work!
Yay!Thank you for the story explained video!❤
4:19 in fact tabby and melody likes Halloween (a.k.a spooky month) you know why because this art is really awesome
A new horror Video of you always brings me Joy
It's sad that Toby had to permanently die. I can tell he actually loved her and melody did too. I hope the creators of the game somehow make an ending where they can save everyone! I'd like to see Melody be happy with Toby. As well as Tabby with her family members, including the cat of course..
I mean the cat can survive, but that’s the only other character that can really survive in this one I’m pretty sure
Nah, that would take away from the bittersweet feeling of the game. Sometimes that's it - your loved ones are lost, you can't turn the clock back, but you can fix what you have, make peace and move on.
That's the beauty of this game - perfect endings are for fairytales. This is not a fairytale.
If we get a 3rd piece for this game I think it would revolve around the scissors lady since the main thing going on now is that their souls like uhh Melody's and tabby's (also if you saved the cat the cat's soul too) would be like bound to the house wich is why they can like relive the house memories so if they added another chapter I think it would involve the scissor lady to like scissor the link from tabby and melody's souls (and if u got the ultra super duper amazing ending the cat's soul too)
Hey mike, have you noticed the character of misfortune by killmonday games looks a lot like Hilda? A character from your culture. Hilda is a children's comic book character created by Luke Pearson.
Well hello there, cool video ,pretty nice ive been going trough some rough times but this helped disract myself from whats happening, so yeah it helped a lot 🙂
I love your Theories! Thanks for posting ❤️❤️❤️
I was literally just watching your play through
SHB: Consist of five family members...
Me: wait, what?
SHB: ...fifth is the cat
Me: Oooh
In the scene of the lake reflecting the family (11:42)
Me: Kitty!! 😢
Noooo cat!!!!
Ah it was a slight disappointment he didn’t mention you were able to save the cat, even if it’s a small change it still is a slight different ending
Thanks for explaining all the story of the new dlc! I couldn’t get the other endings because I was confused on how to get them. Thanks for all the information! We’re making video games in the future with some being horror games and possibly with one coming out late this year about a new creepypasta horror game!
Thanks for the video. I hope they will continue to update , I’m looking forward to more.
This is some good lore for fame
Game
If two more members of the family can potentially make it out alive in this DLC i’m curious if they will release another where more people camp
If done right, I think House would make a great movie.
Hey superhorrorbro love your vids
*SUPPERHORRORBRO MAKE MY DAY EVEN BETTER*
Hey Mike keep doing what your doing you brighten my day and you great at what your doing =) -Have a great day Mike
Also I like bagel
They end up living with the snake lady either that or near but im pretty sure she just straight up adopts them.
that was awesome! but I have a question here 9:15 dose the soul collector got Tabby's face? It seems like this to me idk, we didn't see Tabby's face at the end when Melody found her
Tabby was looking down when Melody dragged her, in the ending, Tabby still has her face
Melody at the end: ugh sis you so heavy! ):
Fact about me: i love pixel and beautiful art horror games i just feel so calm 😁
9:20 Demongo:I've come to collect the souls of the greatest warriors.

8:55 Ending Explained☀️☁️
11:40 Outro
You almost have 50% 2 million subs you're doing great keep up the good work 😁
I still think the fact that the father in this part is just dragging himself against the floor like his legs don’t work is still kind of funny and I don’t know why it said it was like it’s funny😂
i feel so sorry for toby/melody's boyfriend the line "d-don't forget about me okay?" made me frown..... it felt so sad😰😢😭 it really shows how he loves and cares for her...
At least Charles apologised for killing him
Melody was my favorite character in thus game, she loved music so much
Honestly what makes me feel the most sad is the cat it's sweet and yet sad because the cat even wants to protect them 😢😢😢
😍😍 so excited too watch your the best!!
I always thought Melody was the older sibling
Have a great day Super Horror Bro
my favorite character: C A T
I’ve watched 14 vids but your helps the most
So close to 1.5mil subs keep it up oh btw this video is interesting and enjoyable
WOW superhorrorbro and film theory do have amazing
The only thing that doesn't make sense is at the end cat show's up but in this DLC we never met her.Does that mean the cat escaped with tabby or something else did happened to her?
You can actually lure the cat out of hiding in the DLC and she'll follow Melody into the Underground area. Thne it appears in the ending scene. So the cat is still in the house and you can save her, too
@@drawingdragon thanks i didn't know that I could do that
Playing the songs on the flute reminds me of playing songs on the Ocarina from Ocarina of Time
Would've liked to have seen the giant rat escape and live with them in the end lol
I think that the place with the TV that Tabby and Melody were staying in was the neighbor’s house because while I was watching thinknoodles, there’s a part at the TV thing where the neighbor shows up saying that someone moved into the demonic house and that she’s gonna peep a little.
I’m Early and Good Job SuperHorrorBro I Love Your Videos So Much
i always thought House was a simple game, but i was big dummy, its a very complex game
Wow i wish a new version of house
great video.. been around for a whilebon this channel and I'll never get bored :) (Finally first commented)
Grandfather be like: BECAUSE I HATE THE HOUSE! I'LL CURSE MY FAMILY!
What’s good Mike just found your channel a few videos back great content
This seems like each family member will get a dlc maybe.
You ended my suffering for 13 minutes thank you so much 🙏🏽😀
I hope they add a dlc for the parents. I only like good endings when they work out for everyone.
hey, you know that, in fact, if you turn off the tv at the end, you get the soul keeper watching the girls watching the tv in the tv, like it's a loop hole again!
Btw, am i the only one that saw the resemblance between, Tabby & Little Missfortune? I think even the mothers of the two games look alike.
oh my god i just love this game
2:21 - 2:40 are my favorite parts
I noticed how a tree had grown from the deceased dollmaker's corpse and the destroyed Grandfather clock.
This is very interesting
Also you missed an ending
Poor melody :
