Unfortunately, if he’s of age, you can’t FORCE someone to do something wether medically necessary or not. I would have told him “ this is what we have to do and if you don’t do it, you can leave against medical advice. Otherwise why are you here .?” That’s legally all you can do. Prior to significate climate change the area had rather mild and shorter summers compared to most places in the US. As such most places did not bother installing AC in homes, government buildings, buisnesses or even hospitals. Instead they would maybe make due with a window unit or fans.
Don’t forget that after all the treatment you receive there will be no BILL. That’s the National Health Service… Socialized Medicine. I’m from England but have lived here in the US since 1987. 3 years ago I had an accident which required my Pinky Finger to be removed… that bill was $47K. The Anesthesiologist’s bill was $5K and the Ambulance bill was $3K… at the time I did not have Insurance. This is why you will see people with Limp’s or other debilitating issues… or Rotten Teeth, these people can not afford to have treatment and consequently deal with their medical issues. The cost of a Hospital stay or like my case an amputation of a finger… the cost is absolutely ridiculous.

Yes! I’m not wheelchair bound, my wheelchair is what gives me independence and freedom, my wheelchair keeps me from being bed bound. I don’t have an SCI, but I have multiple other conditions that make standing and walking very difficult. I’m 19, I had to drop out of school until I got my chair because I couldn’t leave bed. It has given me so much life back
I truly wish the er's here in the states was like this. It's unbelievable how bad it has gotten. The nurses are no where near this accepting and gentle with patients and also, unless you have been cut in half, good luck getting pain medicine. I had a bowel obstruction and never got pain medicine. I hate this place after watching these vids. Hope they keep making them, they give me hope.

In Britian, pain relief start with puffing on Nitrous Oxide, Laughing Gas, the next level up is Paracetamol which is acetaminophen, and then Morphine which they dole out in 1/4th of a shot at a time as needed for pain.
The guy that came off the scooter should have worn protective clothing, and then he wouldn’t be so injured. He s also needs a few minutes down an alley and a baseball bat. He has no respect for the nurses, the dr’s and his treatment.
I’m sure they have their moments just as all of us in the US have ours. If it’s been the day from you-know-where there maybe a point where a nurse or doctor looks at a patient and says (as with Lewis) if you don’t act like an adult we will be putting on the pediatric unit with the other children! We don’t have time to coddle you!
I spent the night in my local ER a couple of weeks ago and yes all the staff were wonderful and caring, from the lady with the drinks trolly, the cleaners, doctors and nurses, they were smiling, kind and polite despite being so so busy, over 50 patients in the waiting room plenty of whom didn't actually need the ER, We are extremely lucky and grateful in the UK to have the NHS, unfortunately there's always some entitled idiot who treats our NHS heroes awfully, but they don't let that get in the way of treating the patient with kindness and respect, they have far more patience with the idiots than I would
This hospital does amazing work. The staff is wonderful and so caring. The people in this community are so lucky to have this hospital in their neighborhood. But, being from the states. I'm little preplex. The minority in this community are some of the healthiest people in the world. Only two in 3000 patients and no staff. Or maybe just real real careful editing... shame, shame!
Maybe you've not watched carefully enough, or not enough episodes. I've watched a half-dozen episodes so far, and I've seen a Black Orthopedic Surgeon, a couple of East Indian Consultants, and a Nurse wearing a hijab working in the Hub. In this episode at 33.29 there's a *single frame* with three Black staff members. There's are a couple of companion series shot by the same people, one is in three different A&E departments, Kings, Queens and Barnsley, which follows many more patients. The other has a rather silly title, something like, 'The life of the hospital bed'. The ratio of Minority patients is far higher in those series. But the staff is fantastic! Absolutely wonderful!
Well you need to pay attention better. I’m from England but have live here in the US since 1987 and I can assure you that in the Majority of Hospitals all over England, Scotland and Wales there are at least 30 to 40 percent East Indian Doctors… if not more. You must be of a Minority to focus on that point? That’s Sad.
I wish America had free health care for everyone! I have Medicare at $148 a month, if I recall correctly. That seems a bit high, but it recently paid off thousands from a ladder fall in which doctors saved my life. 7 weeks in hospitals adds up fast!

I'm amazed with the sandwich selections. The nurses always name 4 or 5 types, but they always come back with tuna mayo. With the number of people in the world that are allergic to eggs and thus mayo... surely they could do something. Sure, the huber needle that I push through my skin and into the septum of the port doesn't tickle or feel particularly pleasant going in, but once the needle is in place I don't actually notice it any longer.

I'm amazed with the sandwich selections. The nurses always name 4 or 5 types, but they always come back with tuna mayo. With the number of people in the world that are allergic to eggs and thus mayo... surely they could do something. And its always on white bread which is really bad for us seniors... 😢 guess I'd just have to do without.

THE STICK ISNT SO BAD BUT IF YOU START DIGGING IN MY ARM AND I WILL POSSIBLY SLAP YOU OFF ME!!!! I WARN THEM FIRST… THEIR CHOICE!!! THE SLAP IS AUTOMATIC…😂😂😂😂😂

I'm just grateful that I have a port. Sure, the huber needle that I push through my skin and into the septum of the port doesn't tickle or feel particularly pleasant going in, but once the needle is in place I don't actually notice it any longer.

Does partner mean that the people are not married? Sry I am not used to all the new politically correct labels. I'm used to spouse, husband/wife, girlfriend, boyfriend. To me a partner is not a permanent relationship. More like a partner at work, or playing cards, someone you partner up with for a purpose.
