This video is dedicated to All the fans who are a huge fan of Elastica .So do enjoy watching this video , and Please post a comment on it .
Oh my God I remember when I bought this in 95 I love the whole CD but this is my favorite song! They went out too quickly such a great band!
I love this band so much. Great to see others remember or are discovering them.
must be having a mid-life crisis. being searching for lost bands from the 90s and Elastica came up. Had to crank up the stereo. Forgot how in love i was with Justine. They still sound great to me.
Try Flying Saucer Attack while you're delving in the '90s nethers....
What are your best catch on that expedition ?
Yk I sure can say that elastica where one of those bands from the 90s that never got thier fame and recognition for this album was really good and has quite amount of enjoyable tracks that i can see myself playing on your way to work and even years after theyre gone which that is how you make timeless but really underrated tunes! 🎶🎵😌🎧🖤
Elastica as a band made a long lasting impact on the Brit Pop scene and rock n roll will always be greatly indebted for that short spanned career of theirs
Best song on the album, and the album is brilliant!
I've had this album since it's first release but only listening to this song on its own have I now marvelled at the structure and superb make up of this song. Gorgeous.
This band should have been even bigger than they were. Just great catchy music ..
That's what I've always thought, too. I hear the songs in commercials now and then.
I agree,I'm from Toronto that watched the wedge on much music, back then the brits had some catchy shiut that was kinda raw!
No kidding. They seem to have it all; good catchy music, hot lead singer, more then one good song. ????
Maybe because they were female and Britpop was all boys? I don't know.
They were the biggest and best band in the world at that time. They should never have made anymore music than their first album. It was perfect and came out at a perfect time. It's my favorite album of all and Im so happy I got to see them live with it in a tiny club in Christiania Copenhagen ^^
Favourite Elastica song. Strength exhibition
I really really really like this band a lot!
never thought of Elastica as a girl band, they were just a great sounding band. Never got to see them live though, i don't know what happened there, worked too much in the 90's because i partied too much in the 80's with The Cure.
Damn, music is the best drug, it don't get better than that.
That first Elastica album had some great tunes, and this was one of them! Still sounds fresh and innovative.
There is no better music to relieve the stress of a tough week!
Easily their best song. Never got the recognition it deserved.
Best song on the album by a mile. I always wondered if Damon had a role in this one...
One of the best rock and roll songs of all times, no less
not easily. pretty much every song on this album could have been a hit that carried its own release. i mean, i love this song. but i dont know if its possible to rank the tracks on this album its so faking good
@@andyhall7032 by a mile?>!?!? the others arent great? naw disagreed
@@paulpeczon9086 its awesome, but you need to listen to more music
I'm almost certain this song is about Brett Anderson. It's always amusing to me that Elastica's first album had song both partially written by and about both Brett and Damon.
The more you here the more you get addicted.. I have heard this song thirty times in a space of 15 days....
same!
Lost track of the times I played this album and still do!
I love Elastica - first heard it in Prague on vacation in 95' and bought that black CD wtih Connection
Where the heck have I been???? I`m a 65 year old punk, and I`ve never heard of this band! I`ve really been missing out!
Timeless music like this always lives on ✨✨❤️🤘🏼
what a great sound
The sound, the voice you got a band.
This song is my second favorite (S.O.F.T. is my favorite), on this album. This is one of my favorite albums of all times, Elastica 1995. When I can listen to an album all the way through, without skipping to another song, it means, it's a favorite of mine.
Elastica should get back as a group again....So many groups today that lack melody with a kick of energy and the color and sex appeal...
Max DuBois it is to late. Justine turns 50 next year.....damned...
My queen since a teen 💖
What a tune, what an album, still listen to it now, I brought the follow up album sorry shocking
A good band and this one is definitely my favourite track of theirs.
Fantastica. My favourite Elastica song, just ahead of Stutter. Justine was just the coolest and hottest chick going around. It all ended way too soon for them.
just love the way the guitars work 2gthr in this song . simple yet sublime :-)
They got a hard time in the UK for being too derivative of other bands. I didn't give a f**k their first album was brilliant. This and Stutter were my favs on it. Thanks for uploading EJustineF.
That prolly was one of the reasons why they instead moved over to america
Be Careful: "The Quality of Mercy is Twice Blessed, Lest it Be Granted FIRST, & LAST Left!"
god help us
'77 all over again 👍❤
While I love all of Elastica's songs. This was my favorite!
Thanks for this! One of my favorite songs.
My favourite part is from 0:00 to 4:46
I love this song... their best
"breaking inhibitions is so much better than breaking bones!"! !
Always sounds fantastic
great lyrics!!!! I love them!!!
God this brings back so much memorys. Tx for making those videos it feels like Elastica still alive. I remember buying your album, i think it was at tower records in Montreal in 1995 or 96. I did not know the band at that time but i liked the cover so i gave a try. I was just going out of the rehab's house. After My friend turned blue on me and never wake up. I went and buy a perfecto a walkmen and your cassette and i listen the tape on auto reverse for 6h none stop. Haha i was 21 i think. Haha. Anyhow i wish i would of seen you live. Tx
Marvelous job. The video was cool mixing the old with the new.
well they certainly love themselves.
Really nice video!
Ty for post!
YEAHHHHHHH
Good times!!
MI BANDA FAVORITA
...wish I wasn't quite so obsessed with this because I want to listen to Stutter as well but cannot turn this off or I may die
Yup, Stutter is amazing too
Temazo!
very powerful and very punk , elastica style ,very cool
very refreshing. too bad i didnt listen frischmann music in the 90s. At that time i was interested in other stuff :)
Like playing this on guitar........
"No MAN Has an understanding of Queen Elizabeth the Second until They Have Walked a Mile in her UNDERWEAR."
- St. SkyKnight Death."
Hey justine we love you here in brazil!
Good
"Never Here" fala sobre o complicado relacionamento entre a vocalista / guitarrista da banda Elastica
Justine Frischmann e Brett Anderson, o vocalista do Suede. Ambos compositores e letristas.
i love the women in the bass
I love Elastica........Justine is great......very beautiful lady.........great fashion...band....etc.......one of my favorite bands......i'll have to buy something......i didn't see an ipod download or CD info though.....maybe amazon.com
Favorited. Nice work.
Justine looks so delicious.
Amazing song.
Justine is the singer right? Yeah she's cute, but I always dug the red headed girl. Don't remember her name from so long ago and it seemed phony to just 'wiki'' it and act as if I did. I forgot a lot of these songs but am remembering I actually liked a lot of Elastica.
@@JE7705 Donna Matthews is the red headed girl. And yeah Justine Frischmann was the lead singer.
When I was young...😩😩😩
Always JUSTINE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💥💥💥🇺🇸👌👌👌
Did Elastica get alot of air time in the 90`s?
I can see why the lead singer would be a lot of people's fantasy woman. Yea.
4:22-4:24 good work
Hey Justine, arent you living in Colorado now?
3:59-4:02 is my favourite part lol
i love you Justine!
Justine had that je ne sais quoi.she is cool as a slab of dry ice
Good songs ! And Justine's got something - Smart & sexy :-)
I slept earlier.
oh, silly boy!
I heavily associated a guitar with being a "style icon" after I heard Elastica.
(y)
Connection is their best song - so sad they couldn't match it
They have at least 5 songs better than Connection, including this one..so powerful and emotive. Songs that are also more their own sound, rather than sounding so much like Wire. I know..everyone and their own opinions and all that..
Sounds like the the sexy pixies
Is elastica the best band ever? probably not. I dont know actually they might be. I hope the lead singer is still fit and aged well like sandra bullock
I swear, if I ever become a billionaire, the first thing I'll do is offer them 10 million a piece to reform.....or should I make that 20 million....hmmm
It seems like Pixies.

She is a waitress but she's got style
PLEASE Read the whole comment Im a 15 year old boy who lives every day complaining about today's shitty music and artists
yesterday in a dream a great idea ocurred to me BRING BACK THE 90's TO THE ACTUAL DATE
the dream was about me visiting all the good artists (elastica, oasis, etc) and convincing them of joining a world tour just to show what true music is.i just want to ask u Like it and if u know where any of this artists are plz contact me.when im 20 years old i'll go make this dream true:D
Howd it go?
Annie Holland is a Master bassist. I always listened to this masterpiece bass-line repeating her part 10 times before leave playing. Justine Frischmann & Donna Mattews made the most brilliant pair of guitar players of 1990's as well Donita Sparks & Suzi Gardner.
Nina Gordon and Louise Post are an awesome duo as well! :)
Their Debut Album is a classic. It's sad that they split so early.
It's a sign of devotion
You made everybody else seem insane
You filled my head with your notions
You made everybody else seem so tame
In your bed I lay reeling
You made everybody else seem a shame
I knew from the way I was feeling
Nothing could ever be quite the same
I moved straight into your shoes
I took up your cause and answered your phone
I couldn't really imagine
What life was like when I was alone
Then I started to worry (then I started to worry)
I thought of our lives left on the shelf
Too much TV and curry
Too much time spent on ourselves
We were sitting in, waiting
And I told you my plan
You were far too busy writing
Rhymes that didn't scan
And you leant me your records
And I leant you an ear
Funny how it seems to me now
That you were never here
Never really here
In our bed I lay reeling
You made everybody else seem a shame
I knew from the way I was feeling
Nothing could ever be quite the same
It's a sign of devotion
You made everybody else seem so plain
Then it felt like going through the motions
First impressions never remain
We were sitting in, waiting
And you told me your plan
I was far too busy writing
Rhymes that'll never scan
Now I've sold all your records
Cause they give me the fear
Funny how it seems to me now
That you were never here
Never really here
Never really here
A very special band ( i dont think they knew how good they were)! I was about 23, at the time, I'm 47 now! I was so excited about this band, I bought the album on the day of release! I've never done that to any other band before or since. Saw them in bham institute in 95; so good me and mates went to 3 other gigs around the country. Now I'm middle aged grey and little weighty but your still loved here!!!
Damn I'm yer age and I always loved this - although I've always been hardcore playing in bands.
I've mellowed out a bit - playing surf music now but I'm with you on elastica!!!
like most elastic songs, the bassline is amazing. Annie knew how to play.
One of those uniquely talented yet grossly underrated bands. Truly amazing musicality. Thanks for posting.
Liked lots of Elastica tracks, but this was always my favourite.
Amazed this wasn't a single. It's the best one of theirs I ever heard, much better than "Connection".
Love this track. One of the best glimpses back in time at a brilliant and unique band.
Excellent video editing! Too bad Elastica never had an official video of this great song. Thank you.
Elastica are one of the few bands from the "Britpop" era that last the test of time. Their tunes still sound fresh.
Yea I very much agree
Emotionally fucked-up young people, bullied by life, have such a carapace around their heart, as a protection, that they lose all emotions. Only rock'n roll bring them back, fleetingly. And you did that Justine with your music. That's already worth a life
Damn - such a shame they self-destructed!
The first album is a masterpiece and this track was the best!
Their second album is vastly underrated. It's actually really good.
@@Wout.vlmnck underrated by who/?/

Annie Holland has such pretty eyes :-)
The guitar interplay between Justine Frischmann and Donna Mattews on this is just fantastic, not to mention the tone. Britain has a long and fine tradition of basic guitar driven rock and this fits it perfectly.
I can forgive the bits for Benny hill only because they gave us bowie the tall thin lord of cool
Who is the bass guitar, I love her tone
Sterling Blake - that's Annie Holland. She left the band three years after they were formed because she was tired of all the touring. She rejoined again in 1999 until the band finally split a couple of years later. The song 'Annie' from Elastica's first album is about her: ruclips.net/video/L5FDA8sp2bU/видео.html
You said ALL, pal. Justine Frischmann & Donna Mattews made the most brilliant pair of guitar players of 1990's as well Donita Sparks & Suzi Gardner. Annie Holland is a Master bassist. I always listened to this masterpiece bass-line repeating her part 10 times before leave playing. In a SANE world, Elastica would release this masterpiece "Never Here" as a single / video named "Devotion" alongside "S.O.F.T." and "Waking Up" - then they would become the World's Greatest Band in second half of 1990's. I rate Justine Frischmann Top 10 Female Rockers Singers with her smooth voice souding as a younger furious Chrissie Hynde. You can check this fact using Google Translator to Portuguese in my article "As 10 Melhores Cantoras da História do Rock & Roll" americanofilosim.blogspot.com/2020/06/as-10-melhores-cantoras-da-historia-do.html
I forgot how much I loved this band and I'm ashamed for it. I promise no self multilation. Just a trip to the record store and a binge listening in my car for as long as needed
Such a brilliant tune . Guitars are awesome and Justine has the sexiest voice ❤️❤️❤️
"Justine Frischman: You're quite the Hood Ornament for a Guitar!"! !

one of my all time favorite songs as well as absolute favorite bands ...
Justin…. How does it feel to have been so amazing, so adored, so on top.
