- This is the story of Jimmy Gardner, a man who desperately wanted to become an actor, so he sneaked into a Warner Bros. studio lot to get a job in the movie industry. Then he served in WW2 in the RAF and then went onto appear in tons of movies and shows, including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where he played Ernie Prang, the driver of the Knight Bus.

For anyone wondering, Jimmy sadly passed away in 2010 aged 85. It blows my mind barely anyone knows his story.

Not to be that guy, but those bombers are U.S. B-17s and not the RAF Halifaxes like Jimmy flew in. But hot damn, 30 missions? Lucky son of a gun. He also received the Distinguished Flying Medal.
