I personally like the documentary compared to everyone else complaining. Nobody knows the work that Leon and the rest of Gib's team put into rebuilding him as a boxer, so it was good to see the footage that was recorded behind closed doors.
I didn't know people didn't like the documentary? I think people just got annoyed because they thought it was going to be an announcement for his next fight and then this dropped instead.
that fight wouldnt have gone any other way, Gib was way too uneducated defensively and was stuffing himself to move up in weight against a bigger guy cutting a healthy amount.
@@Joelucas210 Usyk did 9 months for Fury in the fight they had a few weeks ago. I’m not saying these guys are anywhere like that, but saying “no one’s doing a 6 month camp” is not factually correct.
@@OmarBReal he didn’t do a 9 month camp 💀 he did a camp, fight got moved, did another camp, fight got moved, and in between he def took atleast a month off, you can’t do a camp for 6 months and think your gonna be fine, that’s how you over train and end up flat, Bj Flores a name you might be familiar with did a 5 month camp for belew and didn’t have a chance because he over trained and that’s almost worse than not training

That's the thing about taking a humiliating loss though. Gib believes that because he was so involved in the youtube/influencer stuff that he wasn't taking boxing seriously when it came to the Jake fight. Hence, he puts all of his time and effort into training and taking the sport seriously rather than dabbling in the gimmicky youtube stuff. It's hard to be training full-time as a boxer and creating content at the same time unless you're incredibly skilled to where you can multi-task, like Viddal or the fighters in the Misfits lightweight tournament. Gib's not at that level yet imo and I think Leon would argue the same.

It didn’t if you watched the documentary the camp for Taylor was significantly tougher and he came out a whole new fighter, the camp for mcbroom was just as tough and he kod mcbroom, gib just couldn’t get into shape on late notice and also being significantly smaller
Actually no, Gib set up himself up for failure by accepting the fight on short notice and not taking the camp seriously until it was a few weeks away. In the Taylor, Jarvis & McBroom fight, he knew what he was signing up for and actually trained properly cause he wasn't gonna do the same thing he done for the Jake fight. Don't comment again and make Vancouver BC Canada look bad like that again. Shame on you.
