No such thing as a bad shot for Kobe, the best bad shot maker of all time.

Kobe's 3pt shot is very underrated. His % is not that high because he always takes shots with people in his face and still he makes them.

Problem with today's NBA Fans is that they are all about Stats. Kobe took any shot which was necessary , even if it was the worst one possible (like fadeaway 3s or long 2s over 2 defenders ). I dont want to name any players here but if you look at those guys, they shy away from taking shots in these tough moments and take it only if they are wide open or they get a comparatively easy shot. That is how their clutch % is higher and the same reason why Kobe's stats in the clutch dont reflect how much of a clutch player he is. Because he took so many of them and all of them were highly contested. Teams always look at Kobe and double team him in the last few seconds of a game, EVEN now! Thats how much respect he gets. He literally wont give up till the last second and would shoot a 3 even if they were down by 5 in the last 5 seconds. Thats who he is.
So my point to those guys who want to talk stats - check the type of shot, the situation in game, the teammates you have on the floor at that point of time before throwing out stupid stats and saying "this player has higher clutch % than Kobe, LOL" Get a brain or if you have one, think before commenting. Dont just hate on a great player blindly.

    Two things about Kobe.
    1. The great John Wooden said that Kobe was the most fundamentally sound player he had ever seen.
    2. Paul Pressy, one of the best perimeter defenders in the past 20+ years said that MJ was predictable, but you still could not stop him.
He said that Kobe had more variety in his offensive game.
He said both were very difficult to defend.

KD averages 3.1 assists per game throughout his regular season career and nobody calls him a ball hog while calling him a "pure scorer", Kobe averages close to 5 assists per game throughout his career and everybody calls him a ball hog.

    • @BrWithFMJ

The difference is Kobe is, in all reality, a PG in the sense that he holds the ball all the time.

people define greatness differently. Some say great players change the game with new rules and new standards. Kobe haven't change the game while he is playing but i bet you when he leave the game, it will never be the same without him. NBA will have alot to live up to, just like when Michael left.

The GOAT arguably. at 34-35 playing like he did in his 17th season, its madness you cant question whatever if or not he perfected his craft, and squeezed every once of gas out of his tank. I think he could come back to this level next season if he so decide to play more, he just needs to reprogram that body and rhythm back, you take this season as the re-learning and then the off-season as the building back the body. I wouldn't doubt Kobe.

man .... im watching these shots.. and nothing but laughter comes out. laughter of just being dumbfoundead at how for granted everyone is taking kobe. Kobe is reason why the NBA is fun to watch. not lebron. lebron might just dunk the ball but kobe can put up ridiculous shots. and I know forsure that these finese and insane shots take way more skill than a tank running down the court then dunking the ball hard. Kobe will come back this year and tear it up once more.

14:09 hurts me every time I watch it. Kobe was literally crying because he knew what his injury meant. All the hard work, all the impossible plays, all of the dedication for nothing. Kobe deserved a better team, and he deserved a better season. It's heartbreaking to watch such a competitor get such a terrible, undeserving fate.
