Tidy Girls 25 me and my mate will be there it's the Day after my 45th Birthday come on! Been watching the Tidyboys and the TidyGirls for around 20 years or so following them all across the country and many nights in Bristol at creation, The Rock and Cafe blue great times! And I love how it's all the same crowd along with a few new faces it's absolutely Brilliant!
Great podcast, look forward to the future ones! Lisa Lashes, Tony De Vit and the Tidy Boys were the first hard house DJ's I heard when I were a kid as my dad loved hard house and he still does well into his 60's. Remember the first HH Euphoria album really well as it used to be in the CD rack next to the old Aiwa HiFi system we had. I love when people ask am I into Bon Jovi, T rex etc cause of my parents and I'm like nope, you ever heard of Gridlock 3000 Fantastic thing?
great to catch up wi you two. I'm a bit embarrassed asking but what's the name of the title soundtrack? Too many late night chemically enhanced nights has slightly affected my memory. love you lads. love from Scotland ❤❤❤
The whole argument around these bigger DJs playing "hard house" these days is one that's been annoying me! Like most things in the dance industry, there's phases where something is the current buzz word and it's cool and trendy to be playing it. The past few years that has been techno. Now it seems a lot of these DJs have been starting to drop in the odd hard house track, and while I think it's great there's gonna be a new audience hearing it - it really annoys me that for years it was almost looked down upon by the very same people! Some of us never stopped playing hard house, but it'll be the new crowd who take the credit for it lol.
Question you say the Tidyboys have been playing together for since 1999 but werent you guys Jive bunny before playing the music you love hard house? Or is that false and just a strange rumour? I actually had the first jive bunny album in the 80s it was the second mix album i bought as a young boy after mega bass id never heard music mixed before and fell in love with it straight away
I love Lisa Lashes, her music never gets old. Loving these podcasts, keep them coming :)
