I participate in a rare tomato seed swap and have been getting lots of unusual varieties that I've never heard of. Trying out quite a few of those this year.
I grew Black Strawberry once, had really high hopes for it, but yeah, it wasn't that tasty and it split like crazy! One rainy day in August and all of them split and were moldy in a couple of days. So I basically didn't get any tomatoes from it, only those I snacked on in the beginning.
yeah I also heard they are late ripeners. I was going to plant some last year but decided on something else and pushed them to this year then accidentally sold them all so maybe it's a sign to not bother growing them. They sure sold well though so maybe I'll start them next year and just sell them.

Like the varieties you have here in NEPA we have a lot of great german tomatoes and many others but not the wide variety you have .

Yeah, I found it to be quite mealy & wondered what all the hype was about 🤷
