Thank you for the video! I’ve completed the content for my personal profile but am unsure about the ideal format. is there a preferred template for the structure and presentation? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
There is no specific template that you have to stick to. As I mentioned in the video, I would recommend starting off each of your answers with a more general sentence, then mention a specific experience you’ve had that relates to the question, then dive deeper into what you have gained from this experience and finally wrap up your answer with a summarizing sentence or two. Again, you don’t have to follow this exact format but I would try to mention as many experiences and what you learned from them as you can. Good luck on your application!
Yes you can apply to year round housing before your accepted. You just need to submit your UBC application first. Then login here with your EducationPlannerBC account to apply: secure.housing.ubc.ca/
Thank you so much for the guide! it was really helpful! I'm currently a senior in hs in BC, and tried to apply for year round residence with EPBC (but haven't submitted my UBC application yet), it said Access Denied Insufficient Permission. Is that because I haven't submitted the application or because I haven't been accepted at UBC? Thank you
I believe it is because you haven’t submitted the application yet. From what I know you can apply to year round residence before being accepted to UBC unless they changed it this year.
No, grades don’t matter for university applications until grade 11 and 12. But I would say grade 9 is a great place to start getting into the habit of getting good grades.
I'm writing my application rn and this video helps a lot. Thanks!
Glad it helped!

@@GoodOlDayss Thank you
@@GoodOlDayss And one more thing, should I make it like a question-and-answer format or just a generalized essay that answers all questions?
Have a separate answer for each question.
Thanks! Really helpful video, but will I be able to apply for residences after I accept my offer only?
No, you can apply to housing before accepting your offer.
Nicely explained 👌
Helpful video, thanks! I was wondering:
Do I apply for year round residence before I know if I'm accepted into UBC? If so, where do I apply from?
Yes you can apply to year round housing before your accepted. You just need to submit your UBC application first. Then login here with your EducationPlannerBC account to apply:

Are essays vital for acceptance rate or grades matter more
Grades definitely matter more but essays can help boost your application if your grades are not as high.
Very nice 👍
transferring rn 🏃🏽♀️
