As someone who sews, I'm glad you talked about how long it took you to make the dress, and how much it would cost to make it. It really puts perspective on how much people who make the clothes must be getting paid, if we can purchase a T-shirt for $15-20 (and that price covers labor, materials, shipping, and the markup!) When you consider the initial cost/time to make an outfit, and the investment in quality fabric, it's worth it as the dress will likely last longer than anything purchased in a retail store.
