Quick shakedown run for the Solid Axle Swap on the H3. Been dealing with some Transfer Case issues that even still haven’t been resolved. Discovered a few things that still need to be addressed before taking it on a more serious shakedown run.
That is very cool H3, LOVE IT!
Wow! The poor man's sas turned out really well! I was seriously starting to doubt you actually still owned it. I thought maybe you ran out of funds and the wife got mad and he had to sell it off. 😅
You’re not far off. Lol. But seriously I just hardly ever get a chance to work on it.
Now there is no stopping you in Moab!
One of the very best H3’s out there.
Glad to see the H3 back on the road again.
Still needs to be dialed in though.
awesome to see it back in use!
Still needs quite a bit of tweaking but getting there
@@VDawg-cr1gb yeah mine too!
@@overlandtowater it’ll be worth it in the end
Sweet build! It tackled it like a champ!
It wasn’t really a challenge. There was another tire obstacle, the one on the cover photo that I couldn’t get over. Needed a spotter on that one. Couldn’t see shit lol. Kept sliding off to the side.
Sweet torsion lift bro
The Alpha looks completely different now. Congrats on the new suspension. Hopefully its what you expected it to be. Im in L.A. ,next time you head out somewhere, hit me up ..My Alpha is a 2008. Im always the only H3 out there.
NICE!
8 lug axles? And what size tires? It looks awesome
They’re actually 14 bolt axles. I had them built out to be 6 lugs cause I didn’t want to buy new wheels. I love my beadlocks
What did you do with the rancho lift? Interested in selling it?
It’s been sold sorry. Claimed before the SAS began
Very large vehicle without much ground clearance…. If those weren’t tires, you’d be having a bad day. King of the tires but that same trek over rocks would kill the thing.
I think there’s plenty of clearance. I did take a bad line. But the H3 has been through some tough trails stock, I’m still getting used to the new steering feel. Went from rack and pinion to steering box. Takes a lot more rotations of the steering wheel to reach full lock, and it’s not as maneuverable as before. Visibility isn’t as good either lol
I will have to say that’s less than impressive. I’ve seen stock jeep wranglers do better than that.
It is. You don’t need lockers or anything for that. But this is the first sort of run after the solid axle swap. Need to find out where the kinks are before taking it further. Hence shakedown run
It's called a shakedown run
@@gearyheads2739 yeah. I think the long drive to the trail/park was the real shakedown. That’s where I was more concerned. This is after all a solid axle conversion. Doesn’t have millions of dollars of r&d behind it. Totally custom
