they're the proof that new agents are more of a gimmick, not strategic but at least FPX has the balls to do it in an international event
Dunno what Riot was planning. Duelists might've been dominated by jett and raze and reyna in ranked forever, but.. Arent the other roles played WAY less? Is Riot even thinking?
Instalock duelists can always be annoying but what makes Iso super frustrating is that it’s a crutch character. Kids will insta lock him because of how broken he is and continue to play him until he is nerfed back to reality.
Maybe you know the mindset of your cs playstyle to be outwindow and maybe too apply the logic of hero shooter/moba instead.
Did you know back then entire community thought Jett is shit as operator because lack of actual utility (utility by cs standard)? If you want to more recent example, Yoru basically can be used as easy and safe way for facechecking risky angle (read: ult)?
EVERY role over duelist or else it will always max min to 1-2 duelies whoever they decide to buff.
Iso is waaay broken but honestly iso/reyna right now is ridiculous.. less strat more aim to keep it a "true fps" I guess.

Cloves perfect after the nerfs cause she doesnt have ult every round. Iso forcing you to either jiggle, break shield and repeak or commit to a spray is bullshit. Repeaking is terrible in this game, so when he puts his shield on you basically should not fight him which is too much. Neons just brainless too.

@@wendigo374 Best smokes fill character. Play her like reyna, decay is decent, smokes are infinite, heal+speed is pretty strong and revives good.
I can imagine some team using this new iso buff to counter T3xture (Heavy op player)
I’m new to Valorant, and I am in no way interested in playing Ranked or Comp but I’ve peeked in on certain gaming scenes with it, and this reminds me a lot of Siege’s Operators and how certain Ops were amazing in basic Ranked but were never played in Comp.
For example, Caveira. She’s like the Reyna of Siege, everyone picked her all the time in ranked and people who couldn’t communicate didn’t know how to deal with her. In Comp? Being droned out ruined your entire plan.
Opposite end, being Castle. Castle at least from my experience was often seen as a terrible Operator with a bad gun and a bad gadget. Bad gun, yeah. Bad gadget, only if you don’t know how to use it. But in Comp Castle was very useful for forcing attackers to waste utility.
I think these dynamics are really interesting in how certain characters can be extremely powerful in one area of play while seen as not very good in another environment.
i totally agree with this. peoople say pressing a button and gaining a shield is broken, while on the other hand you also give out info. his shield is really strong in ranked bcz most people dont really play nor aim like in vct and dont know how to deal with the iso shield.

The thing is if you're hitting a site anyways full noise then giving the shield sound barely matters
@@DannyJava then itd be too late. If you pop the shield on site, it wont really accomplish its full purpose cause your risking exposing yourself on site while doing the animation without a shield. If you do pop it before a site hit, site anchor can just throw some delay pre emptivelu off the sound cue giving time for fasyer rotates. I know its not really that big in low elo but in pro play, its really a massive shit take :/
@@frostdays9576sean gares has pointed out that that sound can force folks to use util. So it's a good fake, since it recharges with a kill.

It really is a problem right now. Before you 60% chance to have reyna and jett autopick. Now, you have Iso, neon, reyna, jett auto pick so it will be almost 100% chance that there will be duelist autopick. At least buff the sentinels like damn. Iso is nerfing chamber, his wall are good to counter trip wire, and he can give no shxxt with his buff. I really hate the state of rank right now.

I agree. Atleast in the beginning of this patch it's horrible. Everyone thinks they are the best iso, neon, reyna players and it's horrible to see how bad or annoying they are. Riot needs to balance this asap

Let the time tell, it basically early in the patch, people are starting to experiment with different duelist, before this we can only have jett or raze and that’s it, now we have iso, neon, reyna which is viable in ranked and pro play
Reyna is not making pro play
Riot should keep the 1st Iso shield when Iso uses the skill on the first round, then after being broken and getting another 2 kills it should work like the old Iso with only him needing focus and not another shield.
Or just completely revert him back. The 2nd option is more viable.
So basically change Iso back and make him the most obsolete agent in Val just because he got a buff ppl haven't learned to fight yet? Makes sense...

That's what I'm saying. He legit isn't even that op imo. He has a lot of different counters bc the shield is only 1 tick of damage. If you utilize mollies and KJ's turret, you can easily counter him. But ranked players are so single-minded that when they come across smth that they haven't encountered before, they call is "broken" and whine abt it being nerfed.
