One tip for installing the Boxer exhausts: When you go to install, first, use a floor jack to lift and hold the entire assembly. When going to bolt the manifold back up, with the new gaskets, start one bolt on each side, preferably the middle bolt/stud on each side, and leave yourself enough room to adjust the gasket as necessary. Once you have two of the bolts/studs in and hand-tight, then install the third, using that as the first bolt/stud that you properly torque down. That way, you get even clamping pressure and a good exhaust seal. And, as with all exhaust hardware, use anti-seize on the bolts, nuts, and studs. The color of the anti-seize should be silver, as that formulation is specifically designed to protect iron and steel. Copper anti-seize is designed to protect non-ferrous metals like aluminum.
