You guys really need to stop comparing Patrick Mahomes to Tom Brady. Patrick Mahomes is never going to be on his level no matter how you view it. Patrick Mahomes walked in torn of the most well established offenses in the NFL team that was already 13 and 3. They would’ve won their first Super Bowl with Alex Smith they did not need Patrick Mahomes to win that Super Bowl. Tom Brady also beat Patrick Mahomes twice in the playoffs and Patrick Mahomes has played against zero defense of legends and zero Hall of Fame quarterbacks at this time. Peyton Manning played against the greatest of the greats and the greatest defenses you don’t see Ray Lewis is and Troy Polamalu’s anymore you need to stop you don’t have a good enough football IQ to be having this conversation any of you.

I will add this as well. The reason the Salary cap exist. The NFL seen the writing on the wall. As the Cowboys would have won 4 straight Superbowl's before anybody could catch up. Jesus. Why do I keep seeing the comparison for Brady's first 6 years vs. Mahomes first 6 years like it's apples to apples? You really think it's fair to compare the beginning of a career from 2001 to 2017? They're different eras. QB's weren't regularly throwing for 4500 yards and 30 TD back then.
Tom playing into his mid 40's is a big reason why he's the GOAT. Being as great as he was in his mid 40's matters. Beating Mahomes in the playoffs (and a Superbowl) matters. Leading the greatest Superbowl comeback of all time matters. Leaving the Patriots and immediately winning a 7th Superbowl proving he can win without Belichick matters. There's a lot that goes into Brady being the GOAT. Mahomes needs a lot more than a great 6 year run to catch Brady.

The problem with comparing first 7 years of Brady and Mahomes is that Brady was a very late pick and was put on a offence without great weapons and without being allowed to shine. Mahomes had Kelce and Tyreek and had the freedom to do whatever he wanted under a very offensive minded coach that allowed him to play at his best from day one. The second Tom got an all time great weapon, he put all time great numbers. There are many factors when you compare all time great players and you should try to be as fair as possible to everybody, so I do think that Mahomes has a chance to become the greatest, but it will be very hard because Tom dominated the league for decades.

Mahomes literally HAD to do more to outscore opponents than Brady had to, and even without the leagues most dangerous weapon, Hill, he still won MVP last year and led the #1 offense. Yes, it’s a different era for QBs, but Mahomes has always done what he has had to to get his team to the AFCCG or SB, and Brady is hailed for always doing what he had to to win. It’s a comparison that I don’t think can be made right now. Sure, we can see Mahomes may be on pace to surpass Brady, but he’s got a long time to go and just because he is on pace now does not mean he’ll keep it up. While you gotta give him his credit he’s playing in the most pass happy era in league history and for 4 of the 6 seasons had no question the best offensive supporting cast in the league. Brady had better defenses to start but I would bet most people couldn’t name his top 2 weapons in a given year prior to 2007 because it wasn’t that great. He didn’t randomly jump to being all time great from 2006 to 2007, his offensive supporting cast dramatically improved just the way Mahomes isn’t getting worse this year it’s the offensive cast around him getting worse while the defense picks up the slack. He’s got a real chance but we won’t know for at least a decade and context is important.

Honestly after seeing the media overreaction this week to Mahomes and how quickly people are to forget Tom Brady with no real challenges from anyone, it is nice to see coach Mangini bringing the facts and having a good debate. The Mahomes-Brady debate is like if Jordan won more than he did, Lebron won less than he did, and they overlapped long enough for 40-year-old Jordan to beat Lebron twice in the playoffs and NBA finals. Not really a debate. Coach also seemed to encourage Wildes to have some courage and stand up to the Mahomes nonsense.

Twice technically, we all know the chiefs would've won that game had the guy not been afraid to get another penalty for touching Brady giving him that td running, I surprised nick doesn't bring that up the offsides was very much not a thing you can use HE WAS OFFSIDES that makes that int imaginary but the sack turned td was 100% bs

People said Tom Brady got a lot of favorable roughing the passer calls and what not in his later years, but he got DESTROYED by the early/mid 2000s defensive players.
Defenses were allowed to hit the QB back then. I saw a clip of TB get absolutely leveled by a Buffalo Bills safety and jumped right back up.
Throw in he’s 2-0 against Mahomes in the playoffs. And he was essentially the good cop coach to BB’s bad cop. Brady is better than Mahomes

a week or so ago Mangini was praising Allens running ability as to what made him so special, now when it comes to Mahomes its his running ability thats gonna keep him from chasing Brady? If its an act get a new writer because the character is truly one of the worst in television history and ruining this otherwise perfect show, if its not, then get a new guest because its somehow has surpassed Skip level of awful takes.
