  • Scuba dive at Observatory islands adjacent to Balls Pyramid. A wall exists here to approximately 30m deep with a cave at 20m.

      Hmm; never thought of that. That might make sense. It was about half full of sand.. maybe it goes on further under the sand

    Its interesting to see lionfish here. Are these native to this area? I understand that there may be some in the tropical part of NSW/Qld, but wasn't sure about Lord Howe Island.

      Yes I believe so. Apparently there is a South direction current which brings fish down from up north so this may explain it. Wonderful place
