I hope we see more of Xeto in the future. She had her chance - her only chance - to join the Sisterhood, but wasn't going to kill a baby for it. This wasn't a price she is going to pay. Huge respect.
What makes me tear up in this scene is the potential idea that there are members in the corpus who see a monster with a baby, realizing the Warframes are just as human as they are. That they signed on for profit, maybe having familes of their own to feed, not to destroy parents and children. That they drew a line there.

While I'm late, in lore, The Corpus sees themselves as one big family, many have probably experienced something like this, being put in front of a firing squad with a child... seeing how devastating it is to watch life so young perish. I do hope we get a small side quest later about saving this Sister, as she no doubly either was punished harshly or even killed for purposely refusing an order.
This and the “Authorization: Tech First class Veso Dash R.” Scene really highlight the positive traits of the corpus. They’re Briliant, Ambitious, and fundamentally human
I think Veso finally had enough of Alad V's crap and the sentient invasion gave him the opportunity to give V the metaphorical finger and become a hero once the Narmer got dropped
I absolutely adore this quest. The sound design alone is immaculate. The rain and fog, the way the Corpus soldiers all move out of your way yet stretch to see, how Xeto treats Stalker with respect.
Xeto herself said that the sisterhood doesn't give second chances. She gave up what was likely the biggest opportunity of her life to spare Stalker and his kid.
I feel like Xeto didn't really want to hunt the Stalker in the first place. Remember-Xeto was tracking the items Stalker was taking and put it together that Stalker was playing doctor with a biotic entity. Since pregnant Warframes had been unheard of prior to this, Xeto likely figured it to be a damaged frame needing repairs. That, and seeing how Corpus are so interested in capturing live Frames, leads me to believe that Xeto's target was NEVER Stalker, but rather the Warframe in Stalker's possession. However, when that turned out to be his child, instead, she ordered a cease-fire. No Warframe to be acquired, and thus no reason to waste pointless bullets.
Parvos granum is a evil bastard but he had rules one rule was to NEVER hurt children. After his death the corpus became way too greedy. Example being nef who was parvos own child When parvos learned in the deadlock protocol he called out how he was disgusted in nef, taking body parts and organs from people especially children and said "You are no son of mine" She follows parvos rules So when she heard the baby cry she screamed them to stop.
Although there’s many givens in Warframe, it wasn’t until the New War quest that put into perspective how large these factions are and how long they’ve been fighting over the entire solar system and likely more. With this quest, while I knew the Corpus were built on grofit and the Grineer were built on cloning, I didn’t realize that for these factions to persevere through the years, there had to be some form of procreation. The Grineer had cloning, so “families” are likely built around brotherhoods and friend groups. On the other hand, the Corpus likely have actual families following generations with people “retiring” in whatever system they have. Of course, friendly and familial interactions are likely kept minimal in this world, where you’re likely working 24/7, but it’s interesting to think about that there is this small part of the Warframe universe.
I like to think Xeto is/was a mother herself. But imagine how reproduction goes in the Corpus workforce- Maternity leave is probably measured in days. Raising and teaching children is a job that could theoretically be passed to the Corpus' signature robotic proxies. It is probably EXTREMELY rare that a Corpus mother gets enough time with her baby. That's gotta be TRAUMATIC, for mother and child.
I like to imagine now that the only true time off for a corpus is in the time of motherhood or fatherhood. Rasing the next generation of corpus for a few years before cutting nearly all ties with them and going back to work
That's bc Xeto works under Parvos, and he is way different from other Corpus. He was a slave and he hates the stagnation that happened to Corpus when he was gone. If Parvos was really watching, I'm sure Xeto got that promotion just bc of what she did there.

I started playing this month and cleared new war like around 2hrs ago. I almost quit 4-5 times halfway through new war and it took me like 2 days or so, to clear. Just decided to try one last time and I was able to clear it in one go. Jade shadows quest was worth all that effort spent and for not quitting. Not to mention, stalker was soo satisfying to play, as well.
It shouldn’t be that hard to beat The New War. What the game does not tell you is that you need to level up at least some of your equipment with some base mods. Going to the quest with an unmodded Railjack is death. Try to play some missions before going to the next quest, or this will be a recurrent issue for you.
@@calick7208 Railjack and necramech wasn't difficult. I didn't play enough operator mode or duviri before entering new war. That made me feel like new war was on like hell mode difficulty. I figured that archons were easy enough to defeat once I tried Nira and understood the mechanics about running and shooting backwards. Boreal was easy, aside from getting stuck in a hollow while dodge rolling. In hindsight, new war was difficult because I wasn't particularly prepared and didn't have sufficient experience. I died at Amar two times, gave up. Afterwards, just went to Nira and just breezed through till the end in a single session. I had more issues with those Deacons than archons.
@@ajaysprasad that’s odd. Drifter’s build is already set for the quest so you shouldn’t have had so much trouble. I guess you just needed to git gud lol congrats for finally beating it

I haven't even cleared normal star chart yet. I guess, we'll see once I hit SP.
It's this kind of moment where, even in a future as bleak and brutal as Warframe's, even among enemies...you find that little bit of humanity. Beautifully done cutscene
Or at least they could have let us pick his weapons instead of a bow that hasn't been relevant for years put a real weapon in the secondary and broken/fullsize war at least for the quest and fix his awful mod configuration that looks like it was tossed together by someone who doesn't actually play anymore and just shows up to try to be the first to put out a build even when they don't understand anything about the frame
This quest was incredibly humanizing for the Corpus and the Stalker and honestly it had me tearing up. Xeto will likely never get a chance to become a Sister of Parvos now. She chose the life of a child over what could've been a raise. More power. Family is something that has always been part of the Corpus ways, and seeing these few Corpus look on in confusion and maybe intrigue, and for Xeto, maybe also respect, really makes me think about them more than I like to admit. It's just an antagonist faction, sure. But behind all the technocracy and profit-hungry balogna, those are still people. They have families to feed and loved ones to get back to.
Love tha fact the female corpo was like hell nah stop shooting theres a baby ( may be corpus scum but mother instinct is a monther instinct irregardless of the race )
I can't remember which site has the interview that confirms it but this was a reference to "Children Of Men". A few eagle eyed Tenno pointed it out but I feel like no one really appreciated it
@@matanuigaming2556 One of the main differences between base humans and Tenno is lifespan: a Tenno ages at a rate of 1 year (by human standards) for every 15 actual years, until they turn 375, at which point, they've aged to the equivalent of a 25-year old human.
What makes this moment much more poignant is that Captain Xeto isn’t a Sister, she’s a candidate to become one and capturing Stalker was supposed to give her that promotion. We have to remember that the Corpus don’t actually worship money, they worship the very concept of greed itself, so for Xeto to put a newborn baby, even that of a Warframe-like being, above her own promotion, and likely never being able to become a Sister, it’s so powerful. She chose life over greed, she DOES have a heart.
Worth it! They are really good at open worlds and the area they added with the Whispers In The Walls update. Not gonna say much about it to prevent spoilers. But you do gotta know how to access them there. Like they are not better than some Warframe+weapon combinations..but they can be a godsend because you forst of all don't have to run what the most meta in order yo make things work, and secondly because they are very reliable and if the restrictions get too much, you atleast have these things to do the job for you. Also the quests, and gamemodes you get after completing your Necramech are nothing but amazing.
"we're gonna let you pass because you have a baby and we're gonna forget all the people you killed in your way out, those are easily replaceable company slaves anyway"
Honestly the most incredible part is that she knew she was being tested for something that change her life forever and threw it away as soon as she heard the cry.
Nah bro, the Sacrifice still has the sickest scene in the game. Umbra just standing up and grabbing the Skiajati in both the climax of the quest AND the teaser for the quest.
Not a father myself but this year my nephew was born And holy fuck, you get this near primal instinct to want to protect them, so the quest hit pretty hard
I love how a promotion hungry women, who probably drove thousands of lives into an end to get paid, got her heart's melten by a baby cry of her biggest known enemy - a warframe. Its like ceasing fire against zombie's spawn xD
Was hoping that our tenno would show up to save stalker. I find it weird that the corpus developed a conscious in a split second. Just think about the vent kids.
Different leader ya get me? She's there for profit but won't sacrifice the life of children. While there is documented proof the corpus will do that thay are human some will some won't. And in this case this is a new life form with meany questions avaliable like: Is this a warframe? Is the a actual baby the powers of a warframe? Is this just pure infestation in the form of a human with no deviencies like the warframe parents? Or will it grow to look like the rest of the infested? Will it grow to have a functional mind and consciousness And lastly and more importantly WARFRAMES HAVE GENITALS?
there are different factions among the corpus. The vent kids were victim to Nef Anyo, Parvos and the sisters represent a better corpus, though not completely benevolent. In short, they are more humanistic than Nef Anyo's lot.
There are different Corpus groups, Xeto and her toops are under Pavos Granum while the one's that have the solaris enslaved serve Nef Anyo and ofcours we have the worst of them all Alad V
That's Nef Anyo's Corpus. Which Parvos outright shames right from the get-go. He does not like his son's way of doing things. Both antagonists, but different types.
Looking at corpus enemies names, you can kinda see that corpus aren't united under one government official like grineer and their queen. When you first open node to Jupiter you get a cinematic that shows Alad V speaking to a lot of investors, so, this shows that Corpus is more of an alliance, with each fraction within having their own goals
Sorren and Jade waited thousands of years for Sirius to be born, if the child had died there, there would not have been anyone in the world that could have escaped Sorrens wrath.
What makes me even sadder than this quest is the fact that i came back to the game after a year hiatus just to miss "operation : belly of the beast" which gives out the only skin in the game that makes hate (or any scythe) worth using and the aspirus ephemera which would have been perfect for the neon streets of warframe 1999... sigh 😓

@@Februaries Dude, Fortuna and Cetus full of kids. Parvos is literally Nef Anyo's father (or atleast grand grand grand father). Corpus is just a trade guild that got extremely rich and build their own army. It is the Warframe's version of East India Company. The Grenieer are the clones, not Corpus. Most Corpus are people doing what they do because they have a family to feed.
@@cenktuneygok8986nah Nef Anyo isn’t related to Parvos. He never had a kid. He says this in the quest he’s introduced in. Anyo just wanted clout.

I guess you just needed to git gud lol congrats for finally beating it
@@calick7208 I didn't have any issues with drifter. I just meant that in general, I used to avoid Duviri before new war. Therefore, jumping head first into full on immersive mode with operator/drifter was a bit more difficult for me.
Ultimately, yeah... It's probably a skill issue. I haven't even cleared normal star chart yet. I guess, we'll see once I hit SP.
The one and only time I genuinely cried during warframe
This quest itself already was one of my favorites out of all games I've ever played and this scene really made me tear up.
"I came here to recover a warframe, not murder a child."
I always cry at this scene. In the end Stalker is still more human than you think
It's this kind of moment where, even in a future as bleak and brutal as Warframe's, even among enemies...you find that little bit of humanity. Beautifully done cutscene
I really like playing the stalker, wish they would just give him to us so I can mod him proper lol he's awesome
Mod? Try a shared purpose when you find ordis in the relay
His mod build is actually busted if you ever looked at it in duviri
Or at least they could have let us pick his weapons instead of a bow that hasn't been relevant for years put a real weapon in the secondary and broken/fullsize war at least for the quest and fix his awful mod configuration that looks like it was tossed together by someone who doesn't actually play anymore and just shows up to try to be the first to put out a build even when they don't understand anything about the frame
@@ShugoAWaymods in Duviri are automatically placed. They are pretty much the same on every frame you don't own
"The child stays with me"- the mandalorian
Remember, for every 1 Xeto, there's 9 Nefs. Rip and tear, Tenno. The odds are in your favor that your slaughter will be righteous.
I can't remember which site has the interview that confirms it but this was a reference to "Children Of Men". A few eagle eyed Tenno pointed it out but I feel like no one really appreciated it
Make no mistake, the corpus did not care about the child. They just realized they were firing at another taxable existence.
Actually, because even though Corpus is our enemy, but they do not shoot children. (Even though our Operators are children)
@@matanuigaming2556 Mutated by radiation children with hundreds of years? :3
@@Casius06 Seriously?
@@matanuigaming2556 One of the main differences between base humans and Tenno is lifespan: a Tenno ages at a rate of 1 year (by human standards) for every 15 actual years, until they turn 375, at which point, they've aged to the equivalent of a 25-year old human.
These corpus are probably of parvos instead of nef, and the different between these two it's parvos want still maintain some human rights
Every major quest is so amazing this game made it into a film and we are all Tenno actors
Bro became a father, after multiple murder attepts and dropped his hate. After doing some sick moves with it
What makes this moment much more poignant is that Captain Xeto isn’t a Sister, she’s a candidate to become one and capturing Stalker was supposed to give her that promotion.
To me "to take away his pain" still hits like a truck, the lua escape to the orbiter with the operator in the second dream is still trilling too.
Okay, I'll definitely have to farm up a Necramech now. This cinematic looks awesome!
Also the quests, and gamemodes you get after completing your Necramech are nothing but amazing.
no honnor at killing a man in this moment. life is primordial
Stalker. Buddy, you know I'm only 1 call away and can one-shot everyone there right? RIGHT?!
There is a line.
One, that you do not cross.
"we're gonna let you pass because you have a baby and we're gonna forget all the people you killed in your way out, those are easily replaceable company slaves anyway"
The Maternal instincts really do be hitting everyone huh?
Honestly the most incredible part is that she knew she was being tested for something that change her life forever and threw it away as soon as she heard the cry.
Nah bro, the Sacrifice still has the sickest scene in the game. Umbra just standing up and grabbing the Skiajati in both the climax of the quest AND the teaser for the quest.
A reminder that for every Alad-V there's a Viso-R.
Most powerful yes. Most epic though has the line:
“Tenno, on your six”
Not a father myself but this year my nephew was born
And holy fuck, you get this near primal instinct to want to protect them, so the quest hit pretty hard
And in this case this is a new life form with meany questions avaliable like:
Is this a warframe?
Is the a actual baby the powers of a warframe?
Is this just pure infestation in the form of a human with no deviencies like the warframe parents? Or will it grow to look like the rest of the infested?
Will it grow to have a functional mind and consciousness
And lastly and more importantly WARFRAMES HAVE GENITALS?
there are different factions among the corpus.
The only scene to make my eyes water
Proof some corpus have a heart
The stalker a savage bro
Sorren and Jade waited thousands of years for Sirius to be born, if the child had died there, there would not have been anyone in the world that could have escaped Sorrens wrath.
How the mac Donald's did she hear the baby crying over a mini gun
Warframe logic
It's doesn't have to make sense
Still love that cute lil yapping with the arm flaps 🥰
I wonder how warframes grow up if there born 🤔
Maybe they don't grow up? So it's like, nuclear baby against coughing enemy?
That one corpus who kept firing should be locked up in the big ol' corpus jail where he belongs...
confesso q no final dessa jornada me desceu um suor masculino dos olhos
What makes me even sadder than this quest is the fact that i came back to the game after a year hiatus just to miss "operation : belly of the beast" which gives out the only skin in the game that makes hate (or any scythe) worth using and the aspirus ephemera which would have been perfect for the neon streets of warframe 1999... sigh 😓
The Grinner would of just kept shooting 😂
Telling you to give that Dude Feelings feels strange after years of him trying to kill me over and over again 😅

I will leave the mission.
Kindness paid in full.
Who doesn't say this will be the last we will see Xeto...maybe she would make a return along side someone bounded to help point a new direction for the Corpus.
If only reality was as much epic and moral
i need more of the stalker/jade lore
You are my enemy, But my baby no.
Xeto doesn't deserve the treason she will probably be charged with. 😢
Most epic scene had me I'm tears once they shown not all corpus are heartless that as soon as they found out a baby was in danger she instantly stopped firing and sh*t the Echo of the word firing when she Said it made the impact of thw scene sooooo much heart wrenching it has me in tears almost everytime
