I love your drawing and the colors chosen, too. But I think I would have stopped halfway and let more of the drawing and plain paper show. Wonderful demo, thanks!
Thank you so much Don ! :) If I'm not asking for too much ;-) ... could you please, for the next video, zoom out a bit, or the way you prefer, just to see how you work on the palette ? to see colors and the way you use water and do the mixings ;-)...
@@DonLow The music is fine, I don't know what that guy's talking about. Perhaps if he would give you a suggestion on what he is seeking then his criticism could actually be useful but as it stands he's just a whining brat who offers absolutely nothing to you or your channel, please disregard people like that. Personally I think the music is cool but if you were to do voice-over commentary describing your thought process or your ideas on the methods you employ then that would be even better!
Awesome work , thanks , I was wondering what kind of sketchbook are you using ? I'm a begginer and like to find a sketchbook with smooth surface and heavy gsm , would you recommend any ? Thanks a lot again , from France
awesome work! Can I ask, how do you make the ink not smudge when adding watercolour on top? Mine always seems to smudge with water, am I using the wrong ink?
Joshua Williams if you're using a normal pen, usually those are water soluble which causes the smudging. You have to use a waterproof pen like a staedler pigment liner for example
Joshua Williams: Look and see if your fountain pen will accept an ink adapter. If it will, get one for it along with a bottle of water proof ink. I use Nibblers if memory serves. There are several out there that you can order. If your fountain pen will not accept an ink adapter then you can look for a roller ball or felt tip pen that contains water proof ink. Use one of them. Regardless of which one I use I always wait to be sure the ink is dry before using watercolors. Watercolors on ink that is not dry will run and smudge just like non-water proof ink.
How terrific!!
Thank you!!
Genial. Gracias---
Wow! I'm speechless! Totally amazing

Thanks for visiting and your advise. Sometimes I am too carried away! Will remind myself next time!

Thanks! Good suggestion.
Thanks Don, this was incredibly helpful. You rock!
Awesome sketching technique. The sketch tells a story @donlow
Great technique!
Thank you. Hope you enjoy the video.
Thank you for the lesson. Question: why do these art videos feel they have to play terrible "music" which doesn't fit the subject?
Thank you for dropping by. I will take note.

I believe this is a sketchbook from Canson. I got it from a sale at the art supply store.

Yes I am using a fountain pen filled with Atramentis black archival ink that is waterproof.

Very nice
bluefishbrad thanks!!
Did you use a photo as reference for washing?
Hi, I didn't use a photo as a ref... a lot of it was based on direct observation and memory.
,大师,你用的是什么牌子的钢笔和墨水呢
I was using a Hero fountain pen, 9018 and a brush pen to fill in the blacks.
