- Hidcote is one of England's great gardens. Designed and created by the horticulturist Major Lawrence Johnston in the Arts & Crafts style, it is made up of exquisite garden rooms, each possessing its own special character.

I saw this garden many times but could not buy land for my own in England. Europe I found enough and built a mini Hidcote on my own design with borrowed red border which was not red when Major jOHNSTON built it but white as snow. One idiot called Graham ruined it all gave way statues and plantings to make it his own regardless of its creators work. Now thankfully all is back almost as it was by hard work on part of gardening team and donations.
Hidcote many visits brought me to make my 5 acres of cow pasture into a world of arts and crafts in the style of dear Lawrence Johnstons famous work but with twists of my own .I thank the staff at Hidcote for all their kindness to me with advise and detail

I could watch this video over and over again all the beautiful day lilies all the beautiful trees and plants loved everything about this video and of course the beautiful music in the background just could sit there and keep watching this over and over again. Delighted to have recently added this place to my list of visited gardens. Exquisite indeed! Let me recommend another I enjoyed about as much: Biddulph Grange near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs. Would love to see your "take" on that (and Trentham).
