The effect makes sense to Sanji cause whoever made the effect was cooking

I'm so happy that I can use a leader who is one of my favorite characters in the series while playing my favorite color and go fast while being potentially competitive. I have been asking for this effect for a while.

3C Zoro from the Luffy starter deck, 7C Ace, and red Marshall D. Teach seem like sleepers in this deck.
7C Ace is no good, since his On Play will counters Sanji leader ability.
SR Starter deck Zoro becomes meta again with this leader, 7k swing basically costing 4 don PLUS being 6k on opponents turn forces RP law to have a gordon to remove which basically makes him a better Kid&Killer for this deck, PLUS there's like a million different art works for the card so you could have a deck with different zoro arts 🤣🤣
same with the promo vanillas in 09, if shanks leader gets a Redhair Pirates searcher those promos will finally have playability
I'm very excited for this leader too. I agree, red was nerfed into the ground because it dominated OP01-02, and now it looks like RP Law is going to get hit somehow (hopefully Gordon or the purple cards that are the bigger problems). The cannon reason for Sanji having this ability could be that he occasionally launches the other Straw Hats at opponents with kicks.
Straw Hats, White Beard, and Alabasta all have a ton of great cards that Sanji makes playable. And because when attacking effects are inherently worse, almost every card is cheap bulk that has counter, so the deck should be super affordable. Although, I just checked and double attack Ace quadrupled overnight :(
Sanji launching the other characters actually is a great explanation for this leader ability, best I’ve heard mentioned yet

Saucing up the straw hats, Alabasta Usopp, Alabasta Luffy, and OP01 Luffy are gonna be so good now. 8c 9k with banish and rush is legit nasty
This leader turns the SR ST-01 Zoro into a Kid/Killer 7k swinger no matter what your opponent's life is. Can't wait to pay Sanji (and banish things with 8-cost Luffy lol)
I think purple rush queen minuses power which was the most random purple card to come out ever
Purple is the jack of all trades, master of none color. It borrows identities from all of the other colors but does them slightly worse than the original color so it has to minus a don to do it. Its only unique identity is ramp.
Sanji's food boost whoever eats it. He learned that on Kamabakka Kingdom (okama kingdom).

Red needed to be able to keep up with the heavy removal, alot of its Card pool became practically unusable because of it. Red needed this...with that being said...I am a HATER so ill say it with my CHEST! BLUE SHOULD NEVER BE BEST DECK IN FORMAT!! 🗣EVER!!
If it was usop instead of sanji he would have been locked out of attacking as long as you control 1 or more characters
I don't know how to feel about Promo Ace. Double Attack + Rush is insane but if you don't do it on the 9 Don turn where you can attack with him for 9 it's just to easy to counter out of the swing. Unless you want to go 7 and just force him to trash cards.
I’m personally not the biggest fan but I know a lot of people are talking about him. Forcing them to pitch hand that early though is still really good though.
Sanji as an awful character is a bad take, cringy sometimes butba flawed character who grows is a great character

Starter deck 1 zoro that has don 1x gain 1k is a pseudo kid because of this leader. Turn 2 going 2nd that can swing 7k is really good.
Makes sense for sanji since hes always blitzing his enemies.
It should have been Robin or Franky as the leader.

Sanji is the best character from the crew! He is the most kind towards women. Every other member wont hesitate to beat up a woman, but Sanji is the only one who will try to save her.
I guess the balance is you can't play most engines in red with him no searching seems ehhhh but the leader is strong as hell
Feel like your downplaying the fact whitebeard has existed in the format forever. It legit never left.
I’ve spoken multiple times on the channel on why WB doesn’t count toward the conversation of playing as a red deck. WB isn’t good because he’s red, he’s good in spite of being red. WB doesn’t play a red game plan, he draws 2 cards a turn and hoards counter. It’s a play style and identity completely unique to him that has 0 correlation to red. He just happens to have a red border. Marco blocker for example has nothing to do with the red color identity, that effect is random as hell and just an example of a tool they printed for WB without taking the color into consideration. Recurring from KO has never been seen on any other red card outside of WB’s archetype. WB could’ve been any color realistically since he doesn’t lean into any color identity, he plays his own game and plays by his own rules. If he was yellow it wouldn’t seem out of place aside from Ace’s -3k. He plays like no other red leader. He just happens to be red.

@@SmallHatCrew As a wb one trick I completely understand your take but he definetely has a Red-ish game plan. He plays similar to zoro (playing rush units but just bigger ones instead of going wide) but having the advantage of beeing a 6k leader (which has a huge impact offensively and defensively) sets him apart of all other mono red leader. The later point is the main reason why he's/was still really competitive into the op05/op06/eb01 - meta. In addition, 2 of the key cards (7c ace and 9c wb) rely on reducing/ko'ing units based on atk power which is definetely red identity. I get your point with marcos effect beeing random in perspective of the colour identity but make absolutely sense because bandai is also trying to refer to the charactes ability in the manga/anime. Marcos are able to revive indefinetely because he's a freaking phoenix that can heal all the time. The same for the wb leader (SPOILER FOR EVERYBODY THAT DIDN'T WATCH THE ANIME) -> he's taking his own life because he's slowly dying anyway and beeing 6k is based on the fact that he's a big mfker that attacks big and can take more dmg than anybody else so they nailed that perfectly aswell. :D
