Oh, wow... I remember listening to this episode on your podcast a while back. What stuck with me then (and even moreso now, for some reason) is his incredible sense of humor. What a wonderful aspect to his personality and what a lesson to learn. Fantastic interview. Thanks for posting it on YT. I was really sad to hear of his passing. 💔

Raw, vulnerable...seems a beautiful soul. I'm glad that his struggles have come to an end, and pray for the best of his family.

Thank You for this tribute. Those of us who were on the outside looking in never knew.
A thank you to those who made it possible. There are those of us who are facing similar struggles.... some know the out come, Some know it's not good. We all know where we are headed, we live it, there is no choice. It's the depression, a loneliness, it's the strength to make one more day, one more test, one more chance to hug everyone. I will miss him so much.

Quite a few of The Well episodes have affected me personally but none more than this one. Thank you Anson for taking the time to record this during the 2020 Star Trek cruise.
    Rest in peace Kenneth.❤

Time. Wow. 49. He had a love for the Star Trek franchise and fan base with a vision of crowd surfing with time crystals. We carry you, buddy as something we never forget. Thank you for 'I chose'- under time that extends to all of your Star Trek family.

This was great to hear his voice, Thanks for posting this. Kenny grow up only a few doors down from me in Bayview Village in Toronto. When I was about 7 and Kenny was about 10, he used to walk me to Elkhorn Public School. looked up to both him and his brother. As we got a little older Kenny became my babysitter. Man did I look forward to every time he would come over for to babysit. He was more of a big kid/older brother then a babysitter as we would have all kinds of fun. Not many rules. He was just a nice fun guy. His whole family are such great people.
When I reached High School, Kenny had already been there for 3 years and so when I would see him in the halls of Earl Haig he would always smile and say hello and ask me how I was doing.
I lost touch with him after that and both of us moved out of the neighborhood. It would be many years until I would think of Kenny again until I would start seeing him on TV and say to myself “is that Kenny?”. It has been great randomly seeing my old babysitter on some show or movie over the years. Always bringing a smile to my face.
I had no idea of is resent health issues and am so sorry to hear such sad news. So when I think of Kenny I think of the cool, fun older kid next door that always brought a smile to my face!!

Wow .. this was intense. I lost a friend to ALS and had forgotten how truly horrific it can be. His courage an positivity was evident in the interview. Thank you for sharing this.

Great tribute, but I must say this - for every “hero” who is recognized, there are many, many others who live their lives in obscurity, misdiagnosed & left to die with no recourse. Kenneth Mitchell was a lucky man in many ways & I think he knew that.
