“Hello there! It’s 'bun'-derful to ‘meat’ you," Keagan Schlosser told visitors. "Can I help you take your picture in front of the Wienermobile?” Sweat glistening and with gleaming smiles, the drivers of an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, otherwise known as “Hotdoggers,” cheerfully greeted awestruck grocery store shoppers walking over to take pictures of their 27-foot-long, six-ton vehicle.
Schlosser and Chad Colgrove, whose Hotdogger nicknames are Chili Cheez Keags and Chadder Cheese, were one month into their yearlong stint driving the famous sausage automobile - "fresh off the grill," as Schlosser described.
They are part of an elite cohort of drivers of novelty commercial cars: oversized, eye-catching vehicles that road trip around the U.S. advertising and appearing at events. Other notable rides include the L.L. Bean Bootmobile, Planters’ NUTmobile and the retired Hershey’s Kissmobile.

Had them at the walmart I work at and I got in trouble when they put a sign in front of the hot dogs advertising themselves. Was fun to see though.

I would've thought they'd be smart enough to get permission ahead of time from store management or Walmart corporate. Shame a store associate gets in trouble for another company's actions. I don't know why Walmart would care either they aren't brand loyal and you'd also think store management could careless as long as sales are being made as sales numbers at the end of the day is all that matters to management.

Imagine needing a 4 year degree to drive a 23ft long hot dog. Also going off the small fleet of vehicles they are involved in a lot of accidents and crashing into homes. So driving skill isn't required though.

Driving skills is the least important aspect. The company looks for communication skills and marketing. You can clearly notice that even in this video they where selling us the company. So yeah they need really competent people and a degree helps weed out people who might not take the job seriously. Also after one year they have opportunity to go up the company probably in marketing teams
