Thank you ever so much for sharing with us this fantastic series. So far from Europe, I really enjoy reliving the life of this continent and I don’t care that the episodes aren’t in the right order….as long as we are able to see them….MERCI, MERCI, MERCI
@@noras.9774 Art buyers and critics woulfd disagree. By your standard you are saying a 5 year olds drawing of a house is equal to Constable Or the same childs drawing of mommy is equalt o the Mona Lisa. Doesn't quite work that way does it?
Love this series, never miss one, thanks for posting! 🇨🇦 As a watercolor artist I couldn’t believe the ‘garden pic’ was one of the entry’s they chose to compete-shockingly amateur and childlike🤦🏻♀️.
I liked the colourful houses for the wild card… there were so many talented wild cards ! I wish they would start showing the wildcard paintings at the end too..
Good show! I just love Desmond's painting, he is very skilled at drawing yet the result is painterly; the complementary color scheme is very effective. He clearly knows his stuff. Triptic is good as well, love the colors though I assume the composition and drawing did not convince. I like also the third guy, he is honest and skilled, good color choice; i like also the overall design but needs more painting 'science' like drawing and perspective would assume. He is young though, can catch up with these in no time.
I couldn't decide between the winner and the triptic. Either would have been deserving. I was however, disappointed in the wildcard selection. There were so many more vibrant interesting works among the wildcards than the work that was selected.
I screamed and hollered against the judges choosing the other two - if they hadn't picked Desmond for the win, I would've thrown something at the screen! Phew!
Desmond's painting was intriguing but for my wall I would showcase Dawn's electric, hot, hot triptych. It seems to vibrate. Yet she steadily added cooler shapes/elements to tame it so it didn't get cartoony. Very nice work.
loved the wood cut...and it was a whole lot better than Alex's piece ... at least the other 2 finalists' pieces were good ...and Desmond's was fantastic
Does anyone know anything about the statue that appears at ~1:30? It reminds me so much of Brennan Coyle as Nicholas Higgins in "North and South," and I'd love to learn more about it!
So do I.No idea who this bloke is, but he is annoying. I know the cheesey 'puns' are written for them, but Frank managed to tone them down, so they brought a slight smile, not a groan.
It makes me cringe so hard when we Brits insist on putting an R in the middle of the word 'drawing' and pronounce it 'droring'. Ugh! Stop it. Antipedians do it too. North Americans actually pronounce it beautifully IMO.
The current trend for the need to choose token inclusivity over talent is annoying, and so transparent, therefore, patronizing to all. Just choose the best, regardless. Well done, Desmond.
Desmond's piece is very nice and Dawn's not so much. The other man's Alex piece was pretty boring. Nothing that interesting. The three block piece was child like.

@@noras.9774 And you think we don't? It is about attitude. You can see it as ugly and repressive, which of course it is, or you can see it as a triumph of the spirit of the men who worked there. Artistically, you can see it just as this guy did, and transform something dirty and ugly into something of value. It is up to you really. You can be held back or you can move forward
The best painter won today. I loved Desmonds painting, it was just perfect, the colors and the composition. well done!
Love this programme, but how maddening that they don’t put the year and episode numbers!
AGREED.

So glad to see the judges chose the right artist in this heat. I love this show...can't get enough of it. TY for sharing. Cheers from FL
Totally agree with the judges choice in this episode… beautiful painting, well done!
Desmond was one of my 2 finalist picks. Congrats to him. I also liked KV Duong's work. He has an interesting, mysterious style.
The winning piece is stunning

I love the wildcard lino printer! The color was so gorgeous. And the competing woodblock print artist was also amazing. I am a fan.
Desmond , for me, HAD to be the winner. His painting skills are so superior to all the others.
In art, there is no superior or inferior! You like it or not, you like more or less!

So-o-o many great art pieces.

Finally I chose the same winner as the judges!

I agree for the winner and frankly several of the 50 were awesome. Probably too "pretty" for the judges.
Beautiful 😍
I love it your choice
I picked him too
All artist did it great job 👏👏👏
Thank you for sharing
I enjoyed it watching

It would have made good menu cover for a local cafe But it was out of place here. Just the 'judges' beiing 'Out There' agaiin.
😍😍. When she said about Kerala, India.. That's where i live

The picked the right one.
thanks for posting! I'm in Canada and don't get the show here.
Not to the end yet but Desmond’s is the best!
Any chance the “of the year” videos could actually give the year? Also, could closed captioning be enabled?
Good skills

38:04 is really the only good on in this round. Some of these were depressingly bad.
I think its season 7 episode 3...
😊😊
I couldn't look at this scenery for any length of time.

Anyone know the season ans episode number?
I think there are about two in that lot that are any good, some are no good atall
👍
I miss Frank Skinner.

Would Alex sell me his football scene, please?
FOURTEEN ads. REALLY REALLY ANNOYING and interruptive.
I skip to the end to avoid the ads.
@@donnawoodford6641 But then.... how do you watch the show?
I hate it when they try to over explain a shitty painting
Well, they can hardly say it is shit.

Nonsense

Sorry, but this lanscape it is ugly; it says nothing!
Comedic.

The wild card artists work were leaps and bounds ahead of the competitors.
