Even after I finished it every time I remembered his scenes and the scenes where he was crying!! I just started crying. I’m so attached to him still. I wanted him to end up with Oh Sunny but he died!! I cried so much during this drama just because of him!! I love you Choi Jin Hyuk and I will forever!!!!!

It was the other way around... He was the first male lead. And for me Lee Hyuk became the main lead. I really love Choi Jin Hyuk, I started to watch this series because of him, but I ended up liking Lee Hyuk's character more. I really hated him in the beginning but then I cried when he died, and didn't cry when Na Wang Shik died. It was a strange experience... I felt that I was supposed to like Na Wang Shik but he was so cruel in his revenge that I couldn't really love him. Lee Hyuk was also an evil man, but as I could have a hint of how he lived his life, I could forgive him. I felt like if Ari didn't have Oh Sunny as her mother, she would have turned out as a monster like the other people in that emperial family. I don't say that he didn't do anything wrong, but it was mostly his family who destroyed his soul. But as for Na Wang Shik... His mother raised him with so much love... I know he did every cruel thing to take revenge for his beloved mum, but that doesn't make it right. As he remembers her at the end when trying to kill Min Yoo Ra, she tells him not to be like one of them. That's when I could feel for him. When he was cruel, I couldn't forgive him, but when he had grace, I was proud of him and feel sorry for him.

The producers were after money. They extended the episode from 41 to 48. Then to 52, unfortunately, Choi (Woo Bin)’s schedule was so hectic. He had to fly to other countries for his fans that was scheduled long before the producers saw that the viewers love the show. It was another waste indeed! If they paid extra money because it’s their fault anyway,m for adding more episodes, they should have did flashbacks of Woo Bin and a diary where he is professing his true feelings to the empress. But, if they will add flashbacks of Woo Bin in the last episode, they have to pay him. They chose money than quality of The Last Empress’ story.
Jill Ricci thats why korean drama is known for unpredictable ending...i know cjh are going to die in the story because of the bullet inside his head...and i know too that the emperor are going to die in the story...thats why it was called The Last Empress...but the impressive acting is unforgetable from the actors...im so impressed especially shin sung rok👌..i cried so hard at the ending...jang nara nailed it as the strong and brave empress in the story.
The ending made me and my mom scream in anger. My mom was so frustrated with me because i introduce this to her but the ending was not up to par on what we wanted. So im now trying to find fanfic and a sembalance that this couple was REALLLL.. >

Meanwhile Nara looks like always take care Jinhyuk as her good lil brother.
dee bee - actually we don't know the truth but if I'm not wrong and forget, after the drama, Jinhyuk as a guest on one of new talk show that time little bit talk about Jang Nara. And as an adult I can said that Jinhyuk has such hemmmm personal feelings (I'm not gonna saying as a love) towards his noona who he got to know for a long time before his fame. Even both MC has such the same opinion that this young man has that feelings also don't want to be "a kid" for Jang Nara and we can see his shocking expressions also his small smiles etc towards the audio voices of Jang Nara and the messages. Meanwhile Jang Nara looks like always look at him just as a little brother even tough their ages gap not much. Jang Nara obviously is the one who draw the lines on this bro-sis relationship. My heart aches while watching this. The two of them deserved to be endgame they shouldn´t have killed him. He deserved to find love with Sunny. And I think that they should´ve added more of a romance beetwen them a kiss maybe or at least something that would´ve shown us their affection towards each other.

There was not even a scene that Sunny cried when Wang Shik disappeared/died.🤔 Clearly, she fell in love with him. They had so much respect and support for each other in and out of the palace. But Wang Shik's character disappeared just like that. The last scenes were not even played by Choi JinHyuk anymore. 😢 I sincerely hope for part 2 or at least an epilogue (same with Hyuk & Sunny), where Wang Shik would be alive and marry Sunny. 🤗😍😘

There was not even a scene that Sunny cried when Wang Shik disappeared/died.🤔 Clearly, she fell in love with him. They had so much respect and support for each other in and out of the palace. But Wang Shik's character disappeared just like that. The last scenes were not even played by Choi JinHyuk anymore. 😢 I sincerely hope for part 2 or at least an epilogue (same with Hyuk & Sunny), where Wang Shik would be alive and marry Sunny. 🤗😍😘
