...and this song is one of the all time favourites in a beer tent on the Oktoberfest in Munich...sung by the entire tent's content of people in a choir very loudly.
So, John, you will live forever!

This song came on the radio when i was hanging out in a cafe, and I swear to God, everyone sang along: baristas, customers, everyone.

John Denver was a great singer-songwriter & actor. He had so many hits in the 70's-80's. Some of his signature songs were "Rocky Mountain High", "Poems, Prayers & Promises", "Calypso", "Thank God I'm A Country Boy", "Sunshine On My Shoulders" etc. John appeared in several films & television specials during the 70's-80's, including the 1977 hit "Oh, God!", in which he starred alongside George Burns.
Home Free does an awesome cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads".

I'm from the mountains of South western Virginia. It's always seemed liked our song too. Love your reaction. 🌹

Enjoy your reactions. Reaction or not, highly recommend John Denver's "Calypso" which from my understanding is a tribute song for French oceanographer Jacques Cousteau and his research ship, the Calypso...beautiful song.

Wonderful reaction to this all time John Denver Classic. This is probably John's Biggest hit of all time and most popular as well. This was the first song of jis I ever heard and I was instantly hooked on him and John had been my favrotire make country artist until Randy Travis and both are very close to each other.
