Generation X here ✋ I miss those times growing up in the 80s, I was 15 years old in 1985 I was in special education classes and I had some great teachers. I used to enjoy hanging out with my friends after school, a group of us would always be at our friend Joshe's house. We had the best music to listen to with real talent. I still keep in touch with one of the friends I grew up with. When I was not with my friends I would take my boombox cassette player rocking to my music as I would make my way up to the boys and girls club where I would spend some time. Great memories, great music video.

All credit to the original author for the inspiration. 1985 - a time when: People survived being born to mothers who drank and smoked while pregnant. There were no childproof lids on bottles of medicine. People could ride bikes without helmets. Children could ride in the back of cars without seatbelts. People drank water from the garden hose, not a bottle. Kids ate cakes, white bread, real butter and drank full sugar soft drinks. They weren’t overweight as they were outside all the time playing. Kids would leave home early in the morning and play all day and come back home before it got dark. No one was able to contact them and yet they were always ok. There were no Playstations, Nintendos, X-Boxes, no 300 channels on TV, no DVDs, no surround sound in home theatres, no mobiles, no text messaging, no internet. For entertainment, people had real friends and went outside to meet them. You could go to a concert knowing that you didn’t have a counterfeit ticket as you spent 3 hours in a queue outside the venue 2 months ago to buy it. The price you paid for that ticket was the price printed on the ticket. You could also go to a concert and not get scanned by security to get inside the building. I could go on but I think you get my drift.
