For me they did, Kim Mo-mi made the sacrifice to show her unconditional love for Mi-mo, something she never experienced. this show was all about inherited trauma and how people try to cope with feeling unwanted and unloved.
Absolutely, they couldn't have done it better. Everyone got their closer, kim mo-mi saved her daughter and her image her daughter thought of her, same for the daughter, she realized that her grandma actually loved her, so did her mom.
At the end when you realize it was just the Story of a little girl that wanted to be appreciated by everyone by sharing her love for singing and dancing. Makes me tear up everytime. Fantastic Show.
the crazy grandma was so mad that even if momi told her at that time she's still not gonna believe her and if i was in momi's shoes i'd never reveal to the public that he's the father of my child because that thing will ruin her life more than being labeled as the daughter of a murderer
Yeah she would have never believed her anyways. Cops literally showed her how her son was a creep and still she defend him, she was lying to her "friends" how her son was perfect when he was actually trash and never called her. So being okay after all these years that her son could have had sex and a kid with Mo-Mi ? Naaah, it just shows how people can convince themselves about everything because of trauma
I too wanted her to know it's her granddaughter but Mo-mi probably thought that telling her would put Mi-mo in danger. The son def got the crazy gene from his mom cause damn she's unhinged.
I believe they actually nailed the ending as the show started off with a girl just wanting to be loved and appreciated by not only her loved ones but the world and in the end she was able to save her daughter expressing her unconditional love for her child that she never got from her own mother even if the world hated her as a result. While I do wish she could have survived at the end of the day she accomplished what she wanted the moment she found out she had a kid, she showed her genuine love that I believe mi-mo will never forget. The ending always makes me cry as we see what Mo-mi’s wish was and knowing that she wasn’t able to attain it but be able to receive it from the person who mattered the most, her own daughter.
So was it really a disservice? I think the whole point of the daughter not finding out was to pair it with her seeing that her mom isn’t someone monster who doesn’t care about her, so that mi mo can come to terms with her existence not being a curse
Honestly I think the ‘revelation’ would’ve been irrelevant. At the end of the day that woman was just the mother of a rapist who spent the rest of her life terrorizing her son’s victim and that victim’s daughter, in my opinion it was much better for Mi-mo’s character for it to keep that way, as it was best for her not to kill Kyung-ja or any other person; it wouldn’t be fair to her, to have the rest of her life be defined by the very thing Kyung-ja used to ruin her life: “She’s the daughter of a murderer so she must be one, too.” tbh that would’ve pissed me off so bad. I think Mi-mo’s ending was a good conclusion to her character, and Kyung-ja got what she deserved, but every time I remember Mo-mi I get so sad. She deserved some kind of justice (at least I’m glad she got redeemed in her daughter’s eyes)
at first i really wanted mimo to find out, but now i think it wasn't revealed bc it would just add to her trauma. that her real paternal grandmother had purposely tortured her all her life and tried to kill her, that her mother killed her father, that that same grandmother killed her mother. better to just let her think this was just some old lady with a vengeful grudge against Mask Girl. also namju's mom had refused to see that her son was a disgusting pervert, even if momi had told her, she probably wouldn't have believed it.
I kinda enjoy how the show explores "murder" w momi using it as a tool to defend herself, granny as a way for vengeance and how it affects the families of the perpetrators
I got SO frustrated when Mi-mo's friend was taking her sweet time untying Mi-mo and helping her out of there... Like I get that they're kids but please 😭Time and place, just a little bit of common sense would've helped in that situation
I doubt that mi-mo is ju nam's daughter cause if we look at the time line. I believe the police found his body about 5 months after he died (in other words the moment mi-mo go pregnant), that means at the point where we went back to her she should have had a baby bump but she didn't. In fact she should have been decently close to giving birth. It wouldn't make sense for Ju nam to be the father with how the show focused so much on establishing a timeline with years. They said mo-mi worked as an escort so there's a chance that she could've gotten pregnant at that point which is more likely. With how well this show felt like it was written with all the twists and character development, it wouldn't make much sense to just leave out that ju nam is the father. That's wayyyy too big of a plot point
Yup, Mask girl also shouldve just gotten plastic surgery, b4 this shit hit the fan. Also funny how if she just fled the hotel, she wouldn’t have been a murderer, cuz the guy was just unconscious smh
The ending reminds me of Memories of Murder. It's not the ending you want but its perhaps the right ending for the show. The whole show is Mo-mi having a unfair life at everyturn so it makes sense her end is also unjust. I only wish they had shown her vindicated post death, perhaps her daughter telling her story.
it actually makes sense that the prison godmother began to lie to her. the woman that would save her daughter has shown that she's willing to escape to save her daughter. 2 des mothers wanting to save their daughters
Oh-nam's mom was definitely the most annoying character in this show, that tenacious old b!tch 😒 I'm glad she never found out that Mi-mo was her granddaughter 'cause that would've given her a satisfaction she didn't deserve. Imagine seeing her flip the script after making Mi-mo's life miserable for all those years... 😑Her dying w/o knowing that it's her own granddaughter she was tryna kill, is almost like poetic justice
Nah she was already in denial with proof that her son wasn’t a good person. She hated the mom and the mom’s mom too much to accept that’s her grandchild. She’s in the deep end of denial.
Things might have changed if Granny knows she is her grand-daugther but Mimo doesn't really have to know that, imagine finding out your mom was r*ped and killed his r*appist and that her mother/grandma wants to kill you naaahhh it was better not to know that so at least she can live without feeling more betrayed.
What I got from this series is not just the cycle of inherited trauma or family generational curse, but also the societal issues that comes along with it. Just like our society, it seems as if the one with better aesthetics or wealth always win while the other side gets tossed aside and worth nothing according to society standard. I just wish Mo-mi told Mi-mo that she is her mother just before her inevitable death.
Have waited to watch the final episode, this show is too draining. I’m actually glad the daughter doesn’t know, it’s to cruel to dump everything on her right at the moment. She is just a kid.
will y’all ever watch the 100 girlfriends who really love you? i don’t know your full schedule or if its too packed but i’m honestly shocked that y’all haven’t watched it yet, seems like its 100% a show that you would all hella love
I don’t know if this is me looking too deep into it, but in the Oh-Nam episode, the mom said she wanted a grandson, so maybe mask girl’s baby being a female instead gave her no real remorse
I'm super pissed the old lady never knew about her son. Because even if she denied it she could still live with the statement, or the truth. oh well. Hope when she's in hell she'll finally know how in the wrong she was about everything Edit: But I'm happy it ended with Mi-Mo not hating her mom because she could've easily been pissed that her mom's actions caused her such a shitty time in life. Mo-Mi didn't deserve to die. From beginning to end the show just went all over the place but in a good way. Mo-Mi started as an insecure office worker to being a whole murderer with a new face. She just wanted to dance and vibe... Edit 2x: Now I'm pissed again the old lady didn't know. AT LEAST if she found out the girl was her granddaughter she could've at LEAST had a fucking crisis before she died. She fought all this time, fucking almost destroying a life.. for her rapist son. Not only that, it's his kid. So even if she ignored the whole rape part, she'd probably be like "i'm killing my son's descendent...which is in turn my descendent" or some shit.
there is a theory that, she is not her grandma. remember she was narsistic when she was a child.. just like the fake-abs boss, unlike the asistant guy who is introvert..
Guys, I love your reactions, I don't know how you choose what to watch and what you don't, but if there is a possibility I hope you can consider a K-Drama called It's Okay Not to Be Okay.✌️
Did they stick the landing?
For me they did, Kim Mo-mi made the sacrifice to show her unconditional love for Mi-mo, something she never experienced. this show was all about inherited trauma and how people try to cope with feeling unwanted and unloved.
I appreciate korean cinema for not being afraid to give an unhappy ending with unresolved issues like real life.
You know what reaction I'm waiting for 😭
@@GoatLover-jq8vf you talking about Tomorrow? Cuz I just can't
Absolutely, they couldn't have done it better. Everyone got their closer, kim mo-mi saved her daughter and her image her daughter thought of her, same for the daughter, she realized that her grandma actually loved her, so did her mom.

And finding out they're grandma-granddaughter would've been unnecessarily corny tbh. That has been done countless times.
Yeah she would have never believed her anyways. Cops literally showed her how her son was a creep and still she defend him, she was lying to her "friends" how her son was perfect when he was actually trash and never called her. "where's Momi?!"
"She is on top of the cliff she gotta climb down."😂😂
I too wanted her to know it's her granddaughter but Mo-mi probably thought that telling her would put Mi-mo in danger. The son def got the crazy gene from his mom cause damn she's unhinged.

In hindsight if the girl is already the daughter of a serial killer then why would mo mi let her know her father was a r*** and a creep?
Because first she deserves to know the truth , second men’s crimes can’t be swept under the rug just because you wanna”protect “ your child.
So was it really a disservice? I think the whole point of the daughter not finding out was to pair it with her seeing that her mom isn’t someone monster who doesn’t care about her, so that mi mo can come to terms with her existence not being a curse
Love everything about this kdrama , short captivating and good ending 10/10 only problem is I wanted her to know thats her granddaughter
Me too that was hard to watch without screaming at the Screen "Just tell her"!!
Was my only ick of the entire show
Great story telling.
I’d give it a 8 i was waiting for her to say it before dying.

All of that cause of a mother who never said her daughter shes pretty , damn tell your kids you love them and theyre pretty and important
THIS SHOW NEEDS MORE ATTENTION IT’S SOOO GOOD
I kinda enjoy how the show explores "murder" w momi using it as a tool to defend herself, granny as a way for vengeance and how it affects the families of the perpetrators
I got SO frustrated when Mi-mo's friend was taking her sweet time untying Mi-mo and helping her out of there... Like I get that they're kids but please 😭Time and place, just a little bit of common sense would've helped in that situation
Y’all need to watch Kingdom. It’s such good K Drama/ Horror
+1
Falls out window, falls on ambulance, gets hit by car, steals car that hit you. K-dramas I swear.

All this could've been avoided if the rich grandmother was kinder to her daughter during her childhood
Yup, Mask girl also shouldve just gotten plastic surgery, b4 this shit hit the fan. Also funny how if she just fled the hotel, she wouldn’t have been a murderer, cuz the guy was just unconscious smh
I know it's for plot closure but there's no reason why the police took that long to shoot the granny 😑
I'm with Sheera at this point, this lady should have BEEN said something about who the father was. 😆😡
it actually makes sense that the prison godmother began to lie to her. the woman that would save her daughter has shown that she's willing to escape to save her daughter. 2 des mothers wanting to save their daughters
Oh nam Ju's Mom said: "Nyaaaaaaaaaaaah" like skeletor.
Incoming POST AOT REACTION comments😂😂

She wasn’t told because it would’ve messed her up more. They all already knew except his mother. They were protecting her from who her parents were.
Everything would be perfect if the grandma found out that mimo was her granddaughter
Nah she was already in denial with proof that her son wasn’t a good person. She hated the mom and the mom’s mom too much to accept that’s her grandchild. She’s in the deep end of denial.

May I ask you to do the 'Isekai ojisan' please? It is a fun anime. Thanks
I thought the ending was well done. Maybe not the happiest or rainbow ending but it was real.
Now that we're done with Mask Girl, I recommend watching Vincenzo because after a heavy drama, it's good to see something less heavy
agreed
Naaaah
I'm excited for the next kdrama that they will release on non Patreon members. I hope it's weak hero class 1
What a good reaction 🔥

Watching anime and reading manga is always so exhilarating.
tru
I feel like If she knew and didn't try and kill her it would ruin this show
Waiting on that aot reaction 😭 only reactors I'll watch
yo but i went to this video just to look for comments waiting for the AOT reaction. glad i'm not the only one
Yall need to watch Vincenzo such a good kdrama
yo just asking, when might yall post the aot episode if you do watch it.
The schedule already said on Wednesday
are u still going to react to weak hero kdrama??

yeah.... they kinda blew that ending
Good shows get ruined so fast by trash endings
mo
Worse ending ever. Couldve been a 10/10 show but that ending ruined everything.
