Ash, Waitrose here in UK, is considered a higher/expensive supermarket with quality products, just like Mark's & spencer. Tesco is reasonable for all budgets/ for your average person/family. I shop at Tesco, and if I want a treat or feeling rich I go Waitrose or M&S.
