    I appreciate these tornado vids that at least acknowledge people’s farmstead losses-other vids this spring tend to downplay barn damage or roofs blown off

      Experience changes perspective. Tornadoes are insanely interesting, sometimes majestic, always spooky, often mind-boggling in what they do, but I'd never call one "cool" even if the vid showing it is. I've been in 4 so far, and luckily just barely so most of the time but the last one did have me quite worried about the building I was in holding up and all the trees around it waiting to crush me...

    I love it when photogenic tornadoes do their tornado things over just uninhabited farmland and no one gets hurt and nothing is destroyed. And when the view never gets obstructed, that's just perfect. And i love the smaller, fast rotating ropey tornadoes that almost stay stationary with the sun behind the camera, illuminating the scene. Also, no screaming, no drama. Just a perfect view and the sound of the wind.

      What a horrible and selfish comment, Chad!
      Despite what you and many others believe, I can tell you from experience that storm spotters are almost ALWAYS the first on the scene after such an horrendous event. In fact, it can take almost half an hour (and sometimes even longer) for EMS crews to finally arrive due to massive debris, powerlines, overturned vehicles, collapsed bridges, etc. in the roadway that make it virtually impossible to arrive sooner.
      Most storm spotters do not choose to record footage of a disaster scene, as the carnage is usually extremely graphic and stomach churning, and unsuitable for viewing by the general public. (Plus why would anyone, including you, want to see anything that disgusting?)
      Therefore please be more respectful in the future before posting such a statement! Storm spotters, as well as the actual victims of horrendous tragedies and carnage, deserve their privacy so they can grieve and process what just happened to them. And with all due respect, that time period is ABSOLUTELY no one's business!

    Another one of those tiny 'sneeze, ya missed it" farm towns dotting Nebraska. Biggest near city is Omaha, miles and miles to the southeast. If you ain't smart enough to have a storm shelter , you SOL

    • @happyevans9370
      @happyevans9370 3 месяца назад

      Those "tiny 'sneeze, ya missed it' farm towns" are putting food on your table, leather around your waist, shoes on your feet and clothes on your back.
      Therefore I'd treat those who live in them with more respect and consideration -- especially since those farmers are DEFINITELY more than "smart enough" to design and "have a storm shelter".
      After all, once a "from one of those "tiny... farm town" farmer reads your ignorant comment, it will be pretty obvious that you don't have a single clue how to provide ANY of those things for yourself -- ESPECIALLY a storm shelter!
      Oh, and it is even more interesting that the poor grammar and illiterate language is actually being willingly shared not by a "tiny... farm town farmer" but instead by a [most likely] cowardly college graduate.
      Wow. It's quite obvious now who TRULY appears to be "tiny" ('at least in mind, wisdom and thought)....

      "Someone who cares" would quickly recognize when he or she was obviously outranked, and would remain silent in order to possibly learn something that could potentially save his or her own life one day!
