  • The life at sea. Full Ship Tour onboard an Anchor Handler vessel. I bring you around the bridge and the rest of the accommodation onboard. The Ship is 110 meters long and the Breadth is 24 meters and can room 88 persons .The Bollard pull is 350 ton and the winches can pull 500 ton. I hope you enjoy the tour.
Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels are mainly built to handle anchors for oil rigs, tow them to location, and use them to secure the rigs in place. Many of these vessels are designed to meet the harsh conditions of the North Sea. They also provide towing assistance during tanker loading, deepwater anchor handling, and towing of threatening objects.

I worked on DOF ships for seven years as a DPO ( Skandi Hercules, Skandi Acu, Skandi Captain, Skandi Commander, Skandi Aker, Geograph and Skandi Africa) before the oil crisis and when most of europe did not taxed foreigners. its really pointless working in northsea now with all the tax deductions and without any chance of promotion as a non Norwegian or European citizen. Norwegians build really nice offshore ships specially the comfort class vessels you don't even feel the vessel is running.
