055:44 yes agreed with laoqinyou, this is really beautiful in how it depicts a great anticipation from the audience, as a zheng artist, i love when everyone leans in and focus their hearing on the instrument, most intensily during turning of the strings *giggles* then once the music is playing most people go back to their conversations, isn't it funny? The right hand is definitely taunting the string or perhaps even lessening the tension, as the left hand's fingers might suggest...

at about 50 minutes we have the lady and the qin. True it's a qin (it has mother of pearl markers). However it is not likely she is playing it. The left hand is used as with a guitar to push down strings or play harmonics. The right hand is used for plucking. She is likely tuning the qin and might even be restringing it.
