I love this man! Joe you are one of the good buggers... When I was 15 I moved to Rotorua and became good friends (till this day) with Joe's son, Kane. Joe would organize and take the time to drive us in his old delica van ( never over 80 km/h) to some amazing fishing and hunting spots. He always had time to teach me about fly fishing and I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. We would spotlight the forests until the small hours of the morning, shooting rabbits and possums and the odd feral cat if we were quick enough. Best fun in the world for a 15 year old kid new to the area! I was taken to the forest spot in the video right at the beginning and he laid out his plans of what he was going to do.... and by crikey did he do what he said he was going to do! Love you lots Joe - we never really tell the people in our life the ways they have impacted us - so im taking the time now to say thank you my friend for investing in my life all those years ago, your kindness has never been forgotten ( and the same goes for you too the amazing Sheryl!)
