    My son likes the gold wheels. I also have a 23 CE heavy metal, about to go put on these same mud flaps with red logo. Thanks for the walk through!😊

    Hey Doc...Looks great !..Can i ask a question ? I'm having some handling issues with my Circuit going over longitudinal seams in the road...a little bit of oversteer and i was wondering if you found any shipping blocks in your struts when you had your wheels off. ? They probably were about the size of an eyeglass case, hard black rubber. I'm having a hard time also finding the jack points for the floor jack, I just ordered the same spare tire you ordered, with jack. The car didn't come with a jack.. I just picked up a nail in the road, and no way to jack the car and of course no spare tire.

      I did not find any blocks in the suspension…it’s funny what gets missed when the dealer sets up a car.
      Modern spare is a life saver when it comes to supplying the parts that should have come with the car in the first place. 😜

    Looks great , well done !
    Just picked up a 2024 premium in the same color. Love those wheels.
    Couple questions for you:
    What lug nuts did you use ?
    Did you have to install extended wheel studs ?
    Did you keep the oem rear spacer on with the aftermarket wheels ?
    Looking to get a similar set up , thanks in advance for any and all feedback. 🤝🤙🎌

      Lugs are a Black Splined Unit...not sure if there is a brand name

      @@Springtailsolutions I’ve been seeing a lot of people talk about issues with aftermarket wheels / lug nuts not having long enough studs on the front. They’re either installing longer studs or doing spacers that come with studs.
      Was curious if you had any issues.
      Thanks 🤙

      Yeah...Honestly, I don't know if it is a big problem or not. The internet experts love to make mountains out of mole hills (Especially when they think they are race car drivers) and I take most of the innuendo pretty lightly and consult someone who probably knows more about the subject than I do. When I bought the wheels from Fitment Industries...I posed that very question and basically was told that it would be fine.
      Now, That said...
      ....It may differ between wheel brands, specs and styles
      ....Longer studs certainly are cheap insurance, so if your driving style and research tells you to do so....you probably should
      ....Coming from the off road world, I'm not a huge fan of spacers so I avoid them at any cost (And yes, I am aware that there are already spacers on the car).
      ....I will be doing my free track day soon, for that....I will put the stock wheels and rubber back on the car.

    is it better to put the spare in the front or back on this car due to AWD and diffs. Also, where was the jackstand placed under the car in the video?

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions  5 месяцев назад

      I can't find any reason why it can't be used on either end of the car...at least not with a quick google search and checking the modern spare website. The jack points are illustrated in the owners manual as well.
      From the Modern Spare website
      'In addition, each spare wheel is equipped with a durable space-saving tire with a DOT “M” speed rating indicating the tire is tested for a constant speed of 81mph. While it is wise to limit your speed to 50mph as some tire manufacturers state, we have chosen these “M” speed-rated tires knowing the tire’s strength and capability exceed that of normal use. This ensures that the tire is durable and well-built.
      This, along with having the proper overall rolling diameter for your vehicle, will allow you to travel the needed distance to a repair shop you trust with your vehicle."

    So, your new set of Bridgestone tires. Are they "Z" rated or better? Are the new sets of wheels lighter than stock? If any of those answers are "no," then yes, you're definitely ruined the experience. Not because they look "good" means is better, especially the tires selection. 😉 You want max grip? Get a set of carbon fiber wheels with spots cups 2 R or PZeros Corsa R uffff,, and that is what you should be aiming. Yes its gona be expensive but the results are gona be amazing 👏

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions  9 месяцев назад +2

      Admittedly, I purposely “ruined” the experience that most claim to want. You may have missed my point and I have a history of this kind of debauchery (as in every performance car I’ve ever owned)…performance is a relative term. In my world, a performance tire will do well in various forms of weather (because here in Iowa, we see it all and usually change is quite sudden), Run flats are important where in the areas that I drive where the roads have no shoulders and limited places to change a tire and the tires do all that AND are V rated. I don’t foresee going fast than 149mph on my daily commute.
      That said, the original street tires are going back on when I go do my free track instruction day next spring. 😉

      @Springtailsolutions V rated Brigestones? Care to provide de tire code? Hey, it's nice that y'all to have 2 sets for summer and winter tires, cool but if ya decide to post in U tube, make you rig better and don't ruin it. It's all I'm saying

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah…my bad, they’re W rated. So I recant my previous statement to “I don’t foresee going faster than 168mph”.

      By the way..I’m not making any claims at being any sort of expert. Just an enthusiast who loves all vehicles and projects.

    • @ZmbiBglz
      @ZmbiBglz 9 месяцев назад +1

      The car is governed at 143mph. Putting w or even v rated tires is not ruining it. Also if it's not a track car exclusively then putting light weight stuff on isn't really a concern at all. If it's a daily driver and you care more about the car looking good than shaving off .0001 of a second over a couple ounces in the wheels then it's definitely not ruined.
