  • This is a day time video of my HO Scale Model Carnival display I built. The display is 8' X 8' with about 60 to 70 moving models and numerous game, food, and backend joints. Also there are transport trailers for the rides, bunk house trailers for the workers, generator trailers with light towers on top, semi tractors, racked rides, custom show offices and custom living quarters for the show owners, all on the display. I used 4 MP3 players with speakers with different carnival sounds recorded live back in the 50's from the midway of one of the grand traveing carnivals of all time, Royal American Shows. I also have a custom contoller to operate all the functions of the display. The contols are built into a custom made wagon made to look like one of the old Show trailers that was loaded on a flat cars when many carnivals traveled by train. The lighting is mostly 12 V grain of wheat lights (clear, green, yellow, red & blue) along with custom EL lighting and special LED lighting.

Scott Knudson I found an old record 33 1/3 album of a carnival midway & all the sounds from the 1950’s. I had the record played & as it played it was dumped into a video/audio computer and had it digitally recorded. Then I put the recording on several small MP3 players that were spread around my display with different sound tracks playing.
