My layout plans are always changing but it's nice to know i have enough power to deal with anything. I also got the 350w Bluetti solar panels to keep them charged up. Thanks for the video. They sure stick out far from the side when in use. Great segment. And your sincere enthusiasm about this product says a great deal about how well they function and are made. Thankyou Sir.
I do agree how much the wires do stick directly out. All the power stations seem to do the same. I suppose by not adding it inside it is one less moving part. I imagine it’s to keep the brick well ventilated 👍🏻

Hi there. Thanks for easy-to-understand videos. I am new to solar energy, and your explanation was right up my street 🙂 ... I've purchased AC200MAX a few days ago, and just waiting for couple of PV200W and D050S enhancer. Planning to add B230 next spring. Anyway, I came across your videos yesterday, and now I am your channel subscriber. Keep up with good work 🙂👍
Actually you can charge the B230 by itself with solar. You can also charge the 200Max through it. I Charge another B230 and 200Max. With the DO5OS adapter you can also charge the B230 from the car. All this info is explained in the manual shipped with each unit.
@beemrdon52 I don't remember that. I do know that I charged all three of them in the later part of the afternoon after emptying all three batteries down to 3%. Also, the main unit only takes about 475 watts charging on the grid. I have three solar panel for 600 watts and they were sending a respectable 520 to 540 to the batteries. I need to get another panel around 400 watts to really charge at a good rate, under 5 hours.
I have the bluetti AC 200 Max with two b 230 batteries for a couple of years now. Works pretty well with a couple of problems. Problem number one the Bluetooth only works part of the time. I have to reboot the entire system to get it to work again and then it fails after a few hours. Second problem is that I can no longer turn on AC output through the touch screen. Clicking AC on does nothing on the touch screen. I can only turn it on through Bluetooth which comes and goes like I said, only works part of the time. If Bluetooth fails the system will be dead in the water. I contacted customer service and their recommendation was to ship it back to them and they would " take a look ". As long ago disposed of my boxes and have no packaging in which to ship the unit back so I'm living with the issues for now.
thank you for the video... what would you recommend the best way is to charge from the vehicles alternator system ?? i have a AC300 and 2 - B300s THANKS
Hobotech also told me the charge shown on the main unit is combined, but not about the levelling! How's your self-discharge? If I turn mine off, it's terrible in the cold. The other day it went from 61% to 0% just by being switched off for a few hours (in a Japanese flat, which is insulated about as well as a camper). Stick some black tape over that obnoxiously-bright green light, and leave it on all the time! (Also Bluetti said solar input "wakes up" the unit. It doesn't)
Mine is sat in the garage. And it’s less than 0. And still reads the same. I think I knew solar didn’t wake the unit up so not sure where you got that info. I need to explore the unit more.
I've seen some pictures that suggest the B300 is the same size as the B230, so the AC200 series will fit neatly on top. They aren't! The B300 is quite a bit wider.
I hope not. I wrote Bluetti and asked them if they were compatible...they assured me they were....before I bought it. Haven't received it yet I'll let you know.
@worldcomicsreview354 assuming since this video is 9 months old that you have the b300 hooked up and know how it works with the ac200max. Does it charge and discharge the same as the b230 in the video? I was thinking of adding two b300s for a total of of 8kwh.
Sounds like it is optimized to keep the batteries balanced so that you aren't pushing the limits of either one on full charge or discharge, should extend life of both, right?
Great explanation on how the devices charge, daisy chain, and balance the load/charge. I’d like to see a simple laypersons (like me) explanation on what devices can be used and for how long. For example, in a household power outage, how long could I use a standard refrigerator and couple of lights?

Looking to add a B300 to my AC200MAX and PT200 panels. Is there anything generally available with 90 degree bends (C shaped) for a slimmer filament?

This is a very well explained video and answered some questions I didn't know needed answering as I hadn't thought of the questions. 😅 I currently own an AC200max and am charging it with 2 x PV350 panels. I want to add a B230 at some stage and perhaps a second as well in order to reach 6+kwh capacity. What else do I need to purchase apart from the 1 or 2 B230 units? The DO50S charging enhancer states it increases the PV input to 1400 watts. Does that mean I could add another 2 x PV350 solar panels to make a total of 1400 watt worth solar input?
nicely presented .im considering the bluetti ac200 max for my sole electrical needs in my peugout boxer build. just a quick question on the 240v ac side. if i used hookup at a site i would plug the power brick into my van garage 240v socket to charge up if needed from my van consumer unit. now when not on hookup i want to use the built in inverter to power the same sockets in my van. how would i do that if the sockets are hardwired to my van consumer unit. Hope that makes sense and im sure theres an easy explanation. Keep up the good work love the videos.
Not easily mate. Best to keep them separate to be honest. Can you run an extra wire to plug next to existing. And know that one will be dead when not hooked up etc.
Yeah that could work thanks mate. Also maybe I could put a changeover switch to connect a different circuit possibly. Didn't just want to be using inverter if on a campsite at all , so I can use there post power into my ehu .
Have you found a way to hook the AC200Max up to a DC to DC charger? (I know about the car charger but think a B2B will charge far faster and more efficiently) I am about to buy but that is holding me back at the moment.
Hi, I love the way you present these videos, thank you! I have a question hopefully you can help with more generally with portable power stations, I have a camper van with a factory leisure battery set up 2 100Ah AGM batteries, 150w solar, and all under warranty!! I was wondering, is there any way to integrate a portable power station or is it best to just keep them separate? Can you charge the power station through a leisure battery setup (I don't like the idea of using a cigarette lighter type plug) and connect via a 30amp outlet and a switched connector (if such a thing exists?) back into the system? Sorry seems to have become a long question but I cant seem to find an answer on YT...... thanks.
Hi. No official way to ‘hack’ the charging. You are definitely better keeping it seperate rather than integrating it. Find my email in the description and mail me 👍🏻
Man.. I have the b300 expansion battery and it seems much easier to understand lol. They have 2 different battery percentages when it’s hooked up to the 200max. Shows the percentage of each.
thank you so much, I was looking for that exact information, as I didn't want to buy the extra battery pack to go with my 200Max unless you could charge it without AC, you have put my mind at ease, thank you again, great explanation.
After using the blue Eddie AC 200 max I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way I can turn on the unit is with the power button even if you plug something in it will not activate I recommend downloading the app and shut the unit off from your phone or other device that button can only be pressed so many times before it stops working I bet
@@aumetalmental8403 ye. They are different between uk and other countries. We don’t really have that caravan hookup you guys have. And your sockets are 110v I believe

Well you can’t ignore the price. Considering they pretty much do the same. The price has to be an issue. With the link below it’s less that half price.
That's why we got both for our Motorhome, more power, less space and less money than for a full exchange to lithium built-in. Plus it's flexible so we can use them in the house if we have any power cuts, we love them, life changing when on the road.

Up until a week ago I was sold on Bluetti as good alternative to power my new van build. Then my current Bluetti which just went out of warranty malfunctioned. It would no longer charge and the display failed. Great, now I have to send it somewhere, easy…google Bluetti repair. No problem for warranty issues but if anyone repairs these things they are keeping a secret. Max Oak, the company I bought this from, jerked me around for about 10 emails and then said we can’t help you. I tried Bluetti but they blew me off when they found out it was out of warranty. Now I have a $1,000 boat anchor. Keep in mind if you are considering using a Bluetti for your power source, if one small component fails, you’re out of power. And, good luck if you spend four or five thousand on one of these and it fails after the warranty period.

Yeah. Just have a totally separate 240 ring. Small fuse board. Few sockets. And also have the bluetti charger plugged in. So it charges as soon as you hook up 👍🏻

Does the B230 come with the daisy chain cable? if you have the AC200P (NOT MAX) which doesn't have wifi, will the app work for both AC200P/B230, since the B230 has wifi (I think). thanks.
Hi mate. Yes to cable. And probably no to the app. As the b230 only works on app as part of ac200 max 👍🏻

So it's exactly like 2 12v batteries put in parallel?
Kind of. Except you would never connect two 12v batteries at different states of charge. And you can here
This is a very well explained video and answered some questions I didn't know needed answering as I hadn't thought of the questions. 😅
I currently own an AC200max and am charging it with 2 x PV350 panels.
Hi. I never really used the DO50s. So not entirely sure how that works.
Are you in the uk?

nicely presented .im considering the bluetti ac200 max for my sole electrical needs in my peugout boxer build. just a quick question on the 240v ac side. if i used hookup at a site i would plug the power brick into my van garage 240v socket to charge up if needed from my van consumer unit. now when not on hookup i want to use the built in inverter to power the same sockets in my van. how would i do that if the sockets are hardwired to my van consumer unit.
Thank you, that was cool.
Bloody hell your right, that is a clever system.
Nice one ✊
Seriously clever mate.
Have you found a way to hook the AC200Max up to a DC to DC charger? (I know about the car charger but think a B2B will charge far faster and more efficiently) I am about to buy but that is holding me back at the moment.
Afraid I haven’t looked into this yet 😬 think I will explore this though. 👍🏻
I have done it mate, I have a video on it on here. It's easy enough, I'll ping you a DM on Insta
Find my email in the description and mail me 👍🏻
Can this be used to charge an EV / PHEV in an emergency situation?
Not sure what that is.
What is the power draw on it. And it’s peak?
Electric vehicle??? No I doubt but mate.
Man.. I have the b300 expansion battery and it seems much easier to understand lol. They have 2 different battery percentages when it’s hooked up to the 200max. Shows the percentage of each.

After using the blue Eddie AC 200 max I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way I can turn on the unit is with the power button even if you plug something in it will not activate I recommend downloading the app and shut the unit off from your phone or other device that button can only be pressed so many times before it stops working I bet

I don’t see the massive need to charge it so rapidly. I understand it helps. But if you are hooked up. Chances are it’s for more than an hour. Genuine question. Does that unit take solar and 240 at same time?
@@urbanarkoverland true but then I think if your hooked up then you don’t really need a power station tbh, small lead acid battery and a 20 quid charger would cover it your needs.
I mostly work demolition sites for anywhere between 6-12 weeks at a time and everything in the van is run by the smaller river pro unit and an extra battery (1440wh) that gets me around 35ish hours before I have to run Generator for hour and half to charge it back to full which is where the fast charge comes into its own compared to the other brands that take 5-6 hours of fuel to recharge them.
