Harland on TYSO is always gold too. He really is one of the best guests by far. There’s no one else like him.
I think it was something both Norm and Harland discovered together early. That being a "guest" is being the butt of the joke. That everyone was in on the joke from "the viewers, live audience, and host" EXCEPT for the guest. The conversation is the act and if the joke hits great, if it doesnt the comedian literally becomes the butt of the joke JUST for attempting it and that's even more funnier.

My dad was always a big fan of Harland. I messaged Harland after my father had passed, and shared this with him. Not even thinking he would reply. And, well what do you know?! He did! He replied with such an amazing reply. He's a great guy! You can take the man outta Canada. But you can't take Canada outta the man.
