Newport News Police Department Press Conference: Katherine Thyne, End of Watch

On January 23, Newport News lost a brave NNPD Officer, Katherine "Katie" Thyne, in the line of duty. Officer Thyne was a dedicated officer who was committed to protecting and serving our city. NNPD Chief Steve Drew held this press conference the following morning on January 24.
Our thoughts are with Officer Thyne's family and our own Newport News Police Department family.

I send thoughts & prayers to Katie's daughter, partner & family. Reevaluating the way I was removed from Newport News 5 decades ago in year one of Menchville High & what the city has become since I left makes me curious if Hollywood connections are helping the managers of this city in Theatrical Direction. Viewing as 33yr retired Psych Nurse from CircusTown I may have odd view, sorry. My sympathy to all who attempt to manage this system. Shift is coming.😇
