For all who don't know... They are standing upside down under the ice (that's why the bubbles 'seem' to be falling from their faces, but its actually going vertical towards the sky). The reason they can do this and why they don't sink to the bottom is because of their scuba gear. You can regulate your buoyancy with scuba gear and by decreasing the weight your carrying. Also, cold water is more dense than warm water, so that means your more buoyant in cold water.
Well you could still save it. You had access to a device of some sort to go online. So if you were at a library, download the video with a RUclips to mp3 site, then upload it to either a personal RUclips channel (unlisted as to not take credit away from the original) or upload to Dropbox, google drive Ect. You don’t have to own a device to make back ups of things.
There is no way explaining how genius these guys are! I often return and marvel about how fantastic this clip is. I feel grateful to have seen this and to live in a time that enables this.
Nicely done guys - since Finland is on the opposite side of the Earth to Australia, we are not surprised that you were upside down. Drysuits are great fun and best of all - warm in such cold water ... thanks for going to the effort to make this video.... :-)
I guess the wheelbarrow have reached you now, after six years? You can keep it. On your continent I guess your best scientists are still working on this alien technology called the Wheel? ;-)
I don't wanna believe that I ever forgot about this video omg. I love it SO MUCH. Watching underwater videos at night always calms me, and the song is so relaxing omg.
I know this video from about 7 years back. I think it may still be the most creative thing I've ever seen. You should have a billion views. Well, you got a couple millions. Nice enough, but people as a whole don't understand the world of diving.
Brilliant! I love doing that when I'm diving, swimming in every direction and avoiding aligning myself so i'm oriented with gravity, it gives a floating/flying feeling that's very hard to describe! "Standing" upside down on a object that's in the surface of water can be done even with the common Diver's equipment, all you need is enough flotation to beat gravity, and calm waters to avoid loosing balance.
I've watched this video soo many times probably not long after it came out. i completely forgot about it until a few days ago it came up on my tiktok. so nostalgic :)
I remember seeing this video shortly after it was uploaded. Now I've watched a hell of a lot of videos over the years but this remains the best video I've ever seen on RUclips
Zirka Fin you're totally right, it doesn't mean that it's going to feel room temperature. The air they're breathing will be basically the temp of the water they're in. the mask they have doesn't cover all of their face. I haven't worn a wet suit rated for that temperature, but the one I wore let water enter when I hit its range of motion. dry suit helps a ton but that face still hits that water
So how does this actually feel? I mean, gravity is pulling you down, and buoyancy is pushing you up. But I imagine you would still get the blood rush and everything that comes from being upside down. I know astronauts in the neutral buoyancy lab are limited in the amount of time they can spend inverted for precisely this reason.
When scubadiving you have lead belt to keep you in desired depth. These guys thought why not double or triple it? Put lead bars in your drysuite feet. Not recomeded, by my friend, who was in his early officer years chief of Finlands Navy divers. Not for beginners or anyone with functional brains.
That was BRILLIANT! Underwater fisherman 'catches' pole of above-ice fisherman! Excellent visual 'pranks', well thought-out and performed! Thanks for making and posting it for all the world to enjoy!
Kayleen Jones Recording everything upside down on the opposite side of the surface ice. The air bubbles at this perception look to fall and flow like water.
They are backwards under water and there's a thin layer of ice they are walking on. Air floats so they had a pocket of air on the wheel barrow that kept it on the "ground" as soon as they dumped the air it sank
Guys, this video is awesome! The fun you can have with a dry-suit and some imagination. Brilliant, just brilliant. Thanks for the best 3-minute-45-seconds in a while. :-) The whole video I was just wondering how much fun it must have been to make this...
you know how when you hold your breath under water in a pool you'll fload that's what they could be doing and had stuff from on the ice above them hold some of the things in place
Safety first said my friend, Finlands Navys Chief of divers in in 1990s as a Captainleutnant. Broke his left lung in retrieving civilian divers body from a water filled mineshaft...

Hi Ryan Well if you did SCUBA dive you would understand how difficult it is to walk underwater and on top of that upside down under the ice. Just the simple logistics of what they achieved was fantastic...so I was giving credit where I believed credit was due..... from my experience as a SCUBA diver (and I have not dived under the ice, no ice in South Africa). regards

Wow. Wow... wow!! This is AMAZING! Fantastic imagination! Lighting perfect. This IS the coolest video. Much respect for your talent. Thank you for sharing.
In difference to the bottle, a swim suit is elastic, which allows the air to move around. You can test it out by taking a plastic glove, putting a little bit of air in it, sealing it and placing it under water. When you hold on to the glove in different places, the air in the glove will always move upwards.
It's filmed upside down. They are wearing drysuits. These cover their bodies and keep them warm and dry in cold water. Buoyancy is controlled by inflating the suit, not the BCD. One hazard of drysuits is inversion, causing air to rise to the legs. You train to prevent it and recover from it. In this case they are taking advantage of it. Great video.
They filled their buoyancy control devices up with air. It's basically a vest with several pockets you wear on your chest while diving. You can add/remove air to the pockets to make yourself more/less buoyant

It took a while for me to figure out that they were upside down! Awesome video
I never thought of air as a object like water. This video filmed upside down in water makes me think about air in such a different way
Came back 10 years later just for the background music ❤️
Me too
they need to try skating upside down that would have added to the craziness
YES
No comments yet! Like.
This would have been an extremely difficult film to make, working upsidedown, especially trying to control air movement. A brilliant achievement.
Mind blown. I don't even know what's going on....

@@petrusinvictus3603 pretty sure they have no bars so they can remain on the ice upside down. Bars in their feet wouldn't make sense
@@theNimboo They have no weights at all. You're completely correct. They are simply upside down. Basically "standing " on the frozen top of the water.
For everyone that is confused, they are standing upsidedown on the ice. You're welcome.
I know it is upsidedown but how can they stand on that ice? What force keep them "up"?
***** The same that makes you float
***** They are using drysuits. If you turn upside down the air in the suit ends up in the boots and you can stand/walk upside down
It’s buoyancy controlling them and their wet suits

No wheel barrows were harmed in the making of this film.

Why is the truck stuck to the ice and doesn't sink? And what are they pouring into it?
answer to both questions:
+Takkenrakker air
+Ramiz S the whole video is upside down and they are pouring air in there.
Now they have to do this on clear ice with someone standing on the surface so it looks like a trippy reflection
