Why can't you just enjoy this remake for what it is: different and unique? Instead of judging it based on the original, judge it as a stand alone album. You also have to give credit for staying true to most of the original melodies. Thumbs up from a Pink Floyd fan!

For someone who's 50, grew up in the beginning of the videogame era, and listened to my dad playing Floyd, this is all sorts of nostalgic and amazing at the same time.
If you love the orig album, and are going to do some creative type work & want to try some new background audio, you'll love this 8-bit. If you want to hear the orig album, go buy it. I can't get enough of this when I'm working.

Jesus, since when did so many Pink Floyd fans become little raving fanboys who can't stand to see their precious albums changed in any way. I've even seen you guys freak out if the RUclips version is changed by a semitone, just to avoid copyright.

More of a teen angst album for me with the school kids No.1 hit song. It also bugged me a bit listening to the concert every day for about a week when I lived around the corner from the Earls Court venue in around 1980! Actually glad I couldn`t get a ticket, sold out every day by around 6 or 7am! Good memories and good times though. Cheers

On the lyrics for sure. David Gilmour and Rick Wright did a lot of the actual music writing on 'Wish You Were Here', the last 'classic' Floyd album they would be allowed to do so. Roger Waters turned took primary creative control on 'Animals' and 'The Wall' and the band effectively broke up after 'The Wall' because of it, with Richard Wright leaving in 1981.

only Floyd I have not seen posted yet is dolby 5.1 They released this album in 32 bit, 7200 Kb/s avg 96000 Hz and 5 discrete channels, If you have a decent 5.1 setup, I highly recommend, and can get for free. Its like going from 2D to 3D video, bot more dramatic.
