IT'S FINALLY HERE sobs This project has been in my unfinished folder for quite a while now, at first I was actually gonna attempt an original story inspired by Xena Warrior Princess but the concept felt dry to me up until the boys came out and I fell in love with the premise! Like that’s legit a world Marybeth. This character is really old and special to me, I've had her since The Walking Dead with another faceclaim up until scrapping her entirely for a hot minute. But i'm glad i brought her back and attempting to get her back to what she was.
Finally…As much as I love Antony Starr, I don't consider Homelander & Marybeth a ship regardless of what it does suggest due to the clownery of his actions which is fine cuz It's been a hot minute since I had a juicy hate dynamic. I do though feel that at one point homes did find himself looking at Beth real hard because in his eyes she was a female version of himself but that's where he oversteps his bounds and underestimates her judgment. Marybeth wasn't about to play these games unless he wanted to catch these hands.

synopsis:
Years after the death of her husband and having her mind mysteriously wiped clean, Marybeth soon began to have recollections of who she might have once been in what she calls "another life". Seeing a once familiar face whom she thought not in a million years would she have worked with once -- along with old wounds torn open yet again.
Oh Goddess of War, gone but forever missed! Known as The Queen of Steel, The Iron Maiden, Marydeath, etc. Belladonna was once a proud member of Vought International as the female head along side The Homelander -- she whom everyone adored and young girls could look up to as a role model for her authenticity. Personally known as Marybeth Hargrove, a woman who loved to love, protect and serve. A powerful Superheroine who possessed the ability to turn her entire body into steel and make armor out of any alloy on spot. For sure a few were envious of her gifts but a bad bitch wasn't the only thing she was. The second Marybeth requested to take leave was when everything went south.
She had met somebody, a local, a deputy somewhere in Virginia who had taken her heart. She wanted a life, she wanted love, she wanted out. The world needed her and it couldn't wait for Beth to get her life on track. They called her selfish and her new boy toy was clearly messing with her mind. That’s when he stepped in, the star spangled asshole who would ruined her life 50 times over; Mr. Make America Great Again. She wanted to believe Vought had her best interest after fostering Marybeth at a young age when her parents disowned her for being a super. She remembered Homelander would use this knowledge as a tool numerous times prior to get her to stay; at his side. This wasn't the first time she wanted to leave either. Was coming out a mistake? Was the desire to be happy, to be a woman, a mistake? It was in Vought's eyes and for that they took away her memories of who she was and what she was. The "crimes" she committed were left void and she would get her wish to leave with her identity stolen. That was around the time a new queen of steel appeared; Queen Maeve. Familiar much?
Back into reliving a nightmare yet again, Marybeth remembers all and seeks Madelyn Stillwell for answers on why, why would they put her through such a calamity? She did everything for Vought and forgave and forgot several times but this was the last straw. Beth would call her ass out and demand justice for what they did to her and other victims of Vought's abuse. Feeling threatened Madelyn's personal weapon of choice was of course Homelander himself and Vought doesn't take kindly to threats. For the first time ever Marybeth would have to tackle The Man of Steel himself and catalyst a war between The Goddess of War and The Great Seven Devil's of Vought.
