The inner circle historical streets were designed for people walking (the car not existent then…). All the modern streets and Avenues are for actual vehicles, of course! Porto has the largest Avenue in Portugal, no curves, straight line, with near 6 km lenght!😂🎉
@@rcbtarchives1436 Avenida da Boavista (Boavista Avenue). From Rotunda da Boavista where is Casa da Música (Music House) to Castelo do Queijo (Cheese Castle), Foz do Douro. Is the longest Avenue straight line in Iberian Peninsula. Also the City Park, near the end of that Avenue is the bigger in Portugal and the world unique with an urban front and a Ocean front (Atlantic).🍀
I'm from Australia and am considering doing a Portugal road trip in August but I'm nervous. I've never driven in a foreign country before. Is the driving there dangerous?
@@ForeverBennett To us it didn't seem dangerous at all. The highways are really well maintained and city driving can get challenging in some narrow parts of Porto and Lisbon, nothing dangerous per se, just be careful and cautious.

Interesting, what's the name of this Avenue? Can you share Google Maps pins to where it starts and ends? Thanks!

I’m going to Porto and want rent a car, wish me luck
Best of luck to you!
Why is that most of the road is made of bricks?
Is just in historical places
The streets have stone blocks, as they should be.
