Just realized I've been watching you guys for 5 years. Thank you for your consistance in entertainment and release schedule. I find myself looking forward to these Wednesday nights. (Also I love the Whiterun shirt).
oh, snap. . .another stranger to fight. . .wow he's quite loud, 'till I pulled this chain and he "piped down" I whipped dat ass, no mistakin' it's lights out I live in river city got muh trainin in Chi-town.
This game is part of the same series Crash 'n' the Boys: Street Challenge (which they played before) is also part of and it is called Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan. I remember playing the GBA remake of this back in the day.
I always wanted to send you guys my copy of River City Ransom, and I was never able to find it. I've moved a few times since I've first discovered you guys, so who knows where it is. But I just wanted to thank you guys for the laughs. When I discovered your channel, I was going through a divorce, and it really helped get through those tough times. Thanks again, ContinueShow!
This is such an underrated classic on the NES, it's great you guys got around to checking it out, too. It's definitely a longer type of game that requires grinding and more exploration to figure out or complete.
Radio stations in 2018: "You never know when you'll discover your new favorite song!" Radio stations in 2018: *plays Uptown Girl for the 300th time in a row*
Honestly, this feels like the kind of game this channel was always meant to play. Your legacy feels more complete for having played it. Also, not "Joshisize", but, "Apolojosh".
A real NES gem, played a bit of it on an emulator on my old computer. I'd also like to know how the infamous 8-Bit "Man Ass" made it past the censors. Great episode guys. :)
Somebody needs to make a Code Monkeys themed hack of River City Ransom (the animation style used in Code Monkeys is inspired heavily by River City Ransom). The scenery and backgrounds in the levels could be replaced with scenery and backgrounds from classic video games (levels styled after Moon Patrol, Super Mario, Megaman, etc.) and the enemies could be ones that showed up in the show like ninjas and escaped prisoners, and Mr. Larrity could be the boss. Also Dave and Jerry could be the players.
Only in the world of video games would a street gang name themselves 'The Frat Guys'. Come to think of it I think there is a strong later-game gang called the Warriors. Too bad they didn't come out to play... Dungeon Fighter aside, the RPG beat 'em up remains an underused genre to this day.
How come everyone knows or has read "Guts"? Literally the only Palahniuk story I've ever read. Also, lasagna is still easy to make. Regardless of wether you make it from scratch or not, it's just as "hard" as spaghetti and meatballs or a bolognese.
I am 100% sure I hear a second set of voices speaking in the background, describing the actions on screen, Is the gameplay pre-recorded and then you guys add narration?
this bitch tries so hard to astroturf on every retro channel with a insipid nonsense comment for YEARS but she still only has 18k subs much to her disdain.. tits only go so far in the retro community lmao
I joined in on this debate the last time it came up. Unless you're making the noodles from scratch, lasagna is super easy to make. Making a meat sauce is simple, boiling water is totally easy, and making layers is no problem. In fact, making the noodles isn't even that hard. THere's a difference in something taking awhile to make and something being hard to make.
Brad Schulz I had a small ass kitchen and it wasn't any more difficult, it was a little more inconvenient, but still easy enough. Making layers of noodles, sauce, and cheese and then putting it into the oven is easy. Why do people think it's hard? What's hard about making lasagna?
It's time consuming, but then again everything is time consuming when you're me. When you get the hang of making it it's pretty straightforward. Also, Lasagna is fucking delicious.
Making lasagna was the hardest thing I've done in my life. It is actually considered torture is 13 countries and 5 U.S. states. Don't give in to stockholm syndrome.
I'm a big fan of Josh's "I really nailed that joke" chuckle to himself.
I'm still waiting for a pastor to come out at a church saying "yo who's ready to get FUCKED UP ON JESUS??"

Feels like it's been a while since we've seen Epic Maneuver. Welcome back old friend.
So excited to see them play RCR. This game is a NES gem for sure

The artist known as "Chris" is very happy you finally played this
Josh high fiving paul at the end made me laugh far more than it should
Good to have you guys back. Josh, you're like a fine wine in that you get better with age.
This is such an underrated classic on the NES, it's great you guys got around to checking it out, too. It's definitely a longer type of game that requires grinding and more exploration to figure out or complete.
It feels so good to hear the Nightwish song after a long time
Why are there like 10 nes games that look like this? Is there a nintendo cinematic universe im not aware of??
Actually yes. It's called the "Kunio-kun" series.
Taking place in the same universe as 'Crash N The Boys'.
I don't get it. Was he implying that the tuna roll was too small for him, or was he the one too small for a tuna roll? I don't understand sushi.
I love watching you guys play side scrolling beat'em ups it is so beautiful it is like watching Picasso paint the Mona Lisa
Got distracted for a moment and came back to Nick being angry - instantly knew it was about lasagna.
Wait so if you aPAULogize does that mean that you're bad a apologizing?

The Continue? couch is more iconic than the casting couch
You guys seriously need more views.
Choosing Man 2018. I came for the Nick and Paul. Stayed for the Josh. Very impressed. 5 stars.
Choose-con, Choose-aroo, Choose-fest, The Choose-lympics, and my personal favorite Chooslemania!!!
Maybe you guys could start a second play series. Games that you liked the first time and play them a second time and see if you still like them?
I can respect that super bowl beanie Josh.
Crazy Josh wearing a toque in the summer

Can we get a podcast about lasagna and the difficulty (or lack thereof) to make it?
Aaron Sorkin would totally make the MapQuest biopic

Your ass in the health club (17.33) looked like a happy dog.
It’s too late to Paulogize

I love the Lasagna Cold War.
Holy lasagna, this is the mop of episodes.
12:48 Last time I played this game was easily over 10 years ago. I still recall those fucking boxes! THEY ARE THE WORST!

I’m such a sucker for an epic maneuver.
How come everyone knows or has read "Guts"? Literally the only Palahniuk story I've ever read.

I tried to read you comment, but it was too hard.
Making lasagna was the hardest thing I've done in my life. It is actually considered torture is 13 countries and 5 U.S. states. Don't give in to stockholm syndrome.
Joe maybe because it’s hard compared to making spaghetti? Need more ingredients?
Men at Work totally wail.
Also, Lasagna looks like it might be easy to make.
My boyz, more vidz less personal time plz. Jk
I've seen this game appear over and over on countless "greatest NES games ever" lists, but I dunno, it really doesn't look that great to me.
