If the mother decides they don't want the child up to the due date she can terminate it without consequences or anything. But I will say this though, when I was in my mid 20's my then girlfriend got pregnant and I was all excited and without telling me she got an abortion. Fast forward to 2 years later, I got really sick and almost died but in the end result it killed any chance of me having a child and my only chance I had got aborted.
